Trying to remember...

Pretty sure if he is on your knee, you don't have to?

Actually this year, aren't kids under 4 free?

Provided you keep him warm and snug, he should be okay. We started taking little miss at about a week and a half, she slept through no worries.

Thanks Kate, sounds like should be no issue then. Did you take the pram in with you?

Reminds me of a funny story. One day, a cool day if I remember correctly, out at Waverley, we were playing Hawthorn. I was at my favourite position in the back row on the top deck of the AFL members stand. About ten minutes before the game started, a Hawthorn supporter joined me, along with a his pram carrying a child who must have been about 6 months old. He was able to place the pram right behind him. The child (I assumed a boy given the colour of the blankets) was decked out in Hawthorn colours, like his father, and dad spent the time before the bounce giving the child cuddles and then settling him into the pram. What a good father I thought. The siren sounded. At the very first tackle by a Hawthorn player on one of our boys, dad let out a blood curdling cry:

Ball!!!!

The once settled child started screaming his head off. Dad, realising his error, picked up the child and spent about ten minutes mollifying him. It worked. The child settled and was placed back into the pram. Dad then returned his attention to the game. Alas, it was at exactly the time that another Saints player was tackled:

Ball!!!!

The child resumed the screaming, and I thought, "this is going to be a long day". With that in mind, I vacated my favourite position and went to a lower level. I think we lost the game.

My grandaughter started coming this year at the age of 7 weeks, she has a membership, but no you don't need a ticket we sit in the social club area and she has survived we keep her rugged up, and yes every time ball is called she stirs or clapping she stirs, but she has survived and now has been to 3 home games, you can always take them into Victory room during game for a bit of quiet time, but in my daughters words she will learn from an early age like her 4 year old sister who is a seasoned member and attends all Vic games, she loves it. :D

First game we took a fold up pram, but the security guy at top fo aisle gave us some grief and told us we had to take it out even though completely folded up and under seat in noone way, so now my daughter takes her in a baby carrier on her.

If you were fair dinkum you'd buy your baby a membership.

That's what I did today. Only costs $40 and you get a blankie and teddy.

Start the brainwashing early!

It's called a donation to the club, and helps out membership tally.

Good work sp.

Sent my 2.5 month old son's AFL membership off last week. Should be a full member by the time he's voting age... :D
