Monday Night Football Sucks!

Why have we been allocated Monday night football for the last 5 years? I hate this game. It wrecks my whole week and it is very inconvenient.

7:40 pm start is too late and at least last year they had it on an earlier time slot.

I did not vote to have Monday night games. Members should get a say about this.

St Kilda Football Club, give away Monday night games, most supporters are not interested.

100% agree. I dont like Saturdays but many do. Cant please everyone. This is only certain game for the year. If the pies played the Dons we would say they get all the good games.

I wouldn't complain about that. I'm talking about Monday night football being inconvenient. It's ok if you are watching it on TV but a very inconvenient time slot of the week to attend. No comparison to Sat becuase Sat is at least on the weekend and is a traditional time slot while Mondays nights are a school night and have never been a time slot to play footy notwithsatnding a failed experiment back in the mid to late 90's.

If you guys like footy 24/7, then lets have a game on a 4am on Thursday morning.

monday night football hasn't become a showpiece like it is in other codes .
however its good to see the saints have persisted with it .
With live tv coverage ( hopefully Australia wide ) its also a good night for our sponsers .

prehaps we could have some other entertainment , to make the night more of an event !
e.g. nitro circus at half time !
would make the second half interesting with the turf all dug up .

Agree on the timeslot.
It should be 7:10.
Make the TV put it on delay.

As for having a vote
- why would you expect members to have any say in key decisions?

As for the "live TV audience" thing, is channel 7 doing it, or just Foxtel? If it's just Foxtel it really isn't that much exposure and there are a few timeslots during the weekend where there is only one game on, so this is not that much different from them.

Channel 7 are doing it. No Sunday game on Channel 7 Melb as the game is on monday. Does feel Unnatural to go to a game on Monday Night.
