Filling Ruck Void

Post: # 1215587Post nw7 »

Unfortunately Mcevoy is out for 4-6 weeks, on the weekend Blake, Kosi and Stanley did ok. I think we should have Wilkes in the team he enables us to keep our 3 tall forward structure, we are lucky we have players that can play multiple positions. Kosi - Ruck/FWD, Stanley - Ruck/FWD, Blake Ruck/Def & Wilkes FWD/Def. When Kosi or Stanley are in the Ruck, Wilkes can go forward, when Blake is in the Ruck Wilkes can go back. We played ok against the Hawks, if a few crucial decisions didnt go against us we would have really pushed them until the end. Even though we lost it was nice to see us attack the game and not be a negative close down team.

Correct. Lyon wouldn't allow that. I think Watters is doing a great job as a rookie coach. I don't subcribe to the bulls*** outcoached mantra that Big Fart carries on about. Give him a year before you start judging.

I think Wilkes will come in to allow Kosi to ruck and rotate.

Another alternative if we can promote him would be Archer. He is not really tall enough, but he is taller that Blake and he does have a go.

unless one of the injuries gets really bad- 8 weeks minimum and can't come back onto list earlier ( i'm fairly certain I heard)

which we don't really want.

I notice that Khan is in the VFL squad, and also heard Finey saying that he expected him to be drafted for next season.

So to all those fellow posters who (unlike me) are in the know, what were the issues as to why we let him go, and has he now come on enough to be a viable draft consideration? Ta.

... and yeah, I agree, cool name. 8-)
