Stood up when it counted. 2 goals in the last quarter when the heat was on & set up another.

Small forward remember.

He wasn't terrible today.

Just looked to lack a little 'touch' today after a week off suspended.

Would be good to throw him up the ground occassionally with his pace.

His touch was. Last qtr saved his day. Up till then he was pretty ordinary. Still needs more time IMO.

So from what you have seen of him, do you think he will eventually make it at AFL level?

Hopefully. Not a cert. Definately not in the next few weeks.

He needs to add something else to his game. You cant make it as just a goal sneak in AFL these days. Needs to be able to run in midfield or something like that, which i dont think Saad is able to do. Last year his highest possession count for a game was 15 from memory. Think he averaged about 10 for year. So doesnt get great deal of the ball.

At the moment I think Saad will only get a game if Milne is injured or suspended during the year, he has a good goal sense and the knack for being in the right place at the right time but as mentioned above while he is fast he needs to add some petrol to the tank in order to take a turn in the midfield if required.

I reckon Dunell might have a better chance of making it....

In his defence. In the first half, he was in front, and on the lead today when the delivery went over his head at least twice in the forward 50. His actual vertical leap to try to get at both kicks was quite impressive. That didn't help his cause. If the kicks were as they should have been, he may well have had 2 or 3 at half time.
