18th biggest win ever!
The Saints have played 2220 games and this was our (equal*) 18th biggest win ever. We play the Suns again in Round 11, up there.
* We beat Carlton by 92 points in 2006. We also beat Carlton by 91 points in 2003 and by 108 points in 2004. We won 12 straight against Carlton from 2002 to 2009.

The memories come along
Older times we're missing
Spending the hours reminiscing

Re: 18th biggest win ever!
I have Carlton supporter mates and family members who ridiculed me through the 80s and 90s so they were good times. I hate them being good again as they are the greatest flogs on earth when they are going well.8856brother wrote:Where were all my Carlton supporting mates over those 8 or so years.perfectionist wrote:The Saints have played 2220 games and this was our (equal*) 18th biggest win ever. Re: 18th biggest win ever!
Interested in how many of our 'biggest ever wins' have occurred with this group of players?
Off the top of my head...
Brisbane in 2005 - 139
Carlton in 2004 - 108
West Coast in 2004 - 100ish
Adelaide in 2011 - 110ish
West Coast in 2009 - 100ish

Re: 18th biggest win ever!
178 points, round 3, 1979. Fortunately, Fitzroy (of all clubs) came to the "rescue" later that year, in Round 17, when they beat Melbourne by 190 points. Geelong did it to Melbourne last year too, beating them by 186. So now, we have fallen to third on the list - hardly worth mentioning.8856brother wrote:...I reckon we may have been involved in the Pies biggest ever win some time in the 70's. We are only on receiving end of 6 of top 50. Although 3rd, 4th & 11th biggest are against us! Thank god for Melbourne having top 2!
Re: 18th biggest win ever!
also we have basically all of the lowest scores ever, but they were almost all before 1901:
