Lynch at CHF for the Crows?

Is that selection odd to anyone else? I haven't seen any of their pre-season games, although I've heard he's been showing a bit over there. I just never really thought of him as a KPP...

Really? There you go. I thought he was a flanker. Remember seeing him in Sydney towards the end of H&A last year and thinking he was a bit lumbering for that position, but he'd actually be pretty mobile for a CHF. He always played well in the Sandy games I saw...

I think he is a HFF because he isnt a tall marking forward. More of a lead up forward who runs around a lot.

Going by how he has performed thus far for the Camry Crows he looks rather talented and at worst will get a job done.

Unfortunately he was drafted to a club contending at the time and was not fast at all (probably the only issue we had mainly with the list). If he was fast he might have been given an extended run alas not.

I am sure this will come back to bite us. Mind you the Crows list is pretty damn shizenhousen so getting a consistent run should be easier compared to even at our club presently.

We differ. Two great forward options in Tippett and Walker (Isn't Tippett rumoured to be heading to the coast anyway). Sloane and Dangerfield however not much else re. midfielders of not.

After Rutten retires then what? The backline does not look entirely threatening.

What gives you the idea of the great list? I am probably understating their list a wee bit too...

Vince is above average, why do people rate Petrenko? To me he is on the same level a McQualter...he runs around and attempts to tackle? Knights probably is not in the round one side and Van Berlo is a joke (externally) as a captain.

Their midfield is top notch. Scott thompson is a gun. Vince has the potential to be a gun. Dangerfield, Mckay and Sloane are up and comers. Van Berlo is solid are you sure you're not confusing him with Rielly?

Anything less than a home final and i'd be surprised.

I do not rate Van Berlo at all. Vince is assigned the tag of 'potential' however has yet to live up to it. potential is such a dirty word.

Regardless, with Riewoldt, Koschitzke and Fisher at the ages they are at, I am surprised that we have jettisoned players aged under/around 21 years of age and over 190cm.

It takes a couple of years at least for these players to add the necessary weight to hold their own in corridor positions and against numbers - and we now seem light on for developing potential successors to Riewoldt, Koschitzke and Fisher.

I would have liked to have seen some of these 190/192cm players drafted getting the opportunity to show their capabilities whilst Riewoldt, Koschitzke and Fisher were still in the side - and developing from there.

Instead, we have given them none to minimal opportunity and their marching orders.

This is a waste of resource and process.

So Nick Riewoldt is a 193 cm leading forward who runs around a lot and takes a lot of marks. He's a CHF.

Tom Lynch is 192 cm forward who runs around a lot and takes a lot of marks. He's a HFF.

Once again, this doesn't seem like a very important distinction.
