IntraClub Match

Post: # 1185201Post R. Harvey 3 votes! »

Anyone know when the Intraclub match might be? I want to get in early and book an RDO...

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

If history is anything to go by (this year excepted) the Intra-Club game will be on Friday 17 Feb @ approx 5.00pm. These games have been at Moorabbin but would need portable toilets etc to hold it there. I doubt they would be able to hold it the new training base at Seaford either, meaning it could even be held at Visy Park. Lets hope that the club makes an announcement soon after they get back from holidays !!

Out of interest - why can't they use carrum doens ? Just because of facilities for fans ? I thought the ground itself was pretty good ?

I remember going to praccy match at visy park 8 years ago when allan murray starred. I thought he was going to be a gun.

I dont think there will be an actual intra club this year. There is going to be a members day (at moorabbin i think) which will be used instead of the intra club.

Last year they put the trip to NZ into their program as a late thought, so dropped Intraclub.

They didn't play one last year but surely if there is one this year it will be at Frankston Park?

Why would it be at Visy Park when we have Seaford, Frankston and Moorabbin?

The last time I went to a praccy match at Visy Park it was inter club not intra club. It had to cater for Bulldog fans as well as Saints fans.

No reason why a game against ourselves couldn't be held at one of the venues you've mentioned NB.

There's a mob called the AFL who get a big say in these things. I agree that Frankston Park would be good, but is it used for cricket? Using Moorabbin could help with fulfilling our committments there but I would bet plenty that the Kingston Council parking inspectors would be out in force for such an event. Seaford doesn't have the infrastructure, including parking as its in a residential street !!

I remember an Intra-Club game at Moorabbin a few years ago when the umpires turned up in their RED tops. The club had to quickly find some flouro vests for them !!

spiritual home!
St Kilda played 564 home matches for premiership points at the ground between 1897 and 1964!

need any more reasons?
also would pull a crowd there.
