From BF Snoop Dog Phantom Draft

Cam Shenton

21yo medium fwd who really wanted to drop into the National Draft to a club looking for a medium fwd ready to go. Teams like the Dogs, GWS, Swans, Tigers and Melbourne along with Port came to mind.
Aggressive type who has express pace, very good hands above and below knees and is very creative around goals. Saw a lot of him and would say he would be a strong chance to get drafted

Has come on pretty well the past couple of years under Nathan Bassett. Kicked a bag (maybe 7?) in the first week of 2011 finals, before going missing the next two weeks (as did all his team mates).

Certainly worth a punt. Quick with good hands. At least it is one less player my Panthers have to worry about :P

In case this gets deleted from the Norwood website soon:

DOB: 27th September 1990

Nickname: Shents / Humphrey / The Panther

Position: Forward

Height: 186cm

Weight: 80kg

Recruited From:

First NFC game: 2010

Games (end 2010): 10

Goals (end 2010): 13

Bio:

Another product of the Norwood FC junior development system, Cameron is a super quick forward who can play as a wingman. He is a very good kick for goal & an exceptional mark on a lead. A quite lad, Cameron has an opportunity to develop into a senior regular over the coming seasons if he continues to work hard on his game.

Yes it certainly looks that way - more 'floating' forward types. Thought they had more than enough - No inside mids it appears.

At least Staley is a tall KP/Ruck

"Cameron Shenton's 2010 teammates Nick Duigan, Paul Puopolo, Nick Lower and Simon Phillips played key roles in the Redlegs' surge to the grand final before finding their way on to AFL lists at the end of that season.

Shenton became one of the SANFL's top mature-aged draft prospects this season, booting 43 goals from 17 games and kicking six in the qualifying final, and being invited to last month's state draft combine.

Shenton, who played juniors for Golden Grove, said he "struggled" when he was around the traditional drafting ages of 17 and 18 and was not on the radar of AFL clubs.

Shenton has been interviewed by St Kilda, Geelong and Essendon but said he would be happy to go anywhere to launch his AFL career."

Certainly looks pretty strong and aggressive and physically ready to play AFL immediately (as long as his fitness is up to it). Reminds me a bit of Aaron Hamill, who will probably love working with him.

We really need more guys who absolutely love a goal, he looks to be naturally very attacking… awesome.

Wow, I actually predicted we would pick him and posted it on a thread here

Can anyone tell me how to quote something from a different thread....if that is possible ?

I heard a whisper on twitter that we were really into him before the draft, so we must've been looking at him for a while

Go to the post, quote it on that thread, then copy and paste the quote to the body of an empty message on any thread.

It will look like a quote as it has html or xml.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

from inside footy quoting david oatey ..norwood's development manager...".cameron is a 21 year old with express pace and our leading goalkicker in the senior side this year...i'd be surprised if he didn't go late in the draft because of his speed....."
