Good story, especially from a Collingwood fan.
We've been unlucky.
However, no team is unlucky when they finish 5th, 9th or 17th - you have to put yourself in a position for luck to go your own way.
There's nothing unlucky about focus, good preparation and discipline.
Let's hope our players understand this from 2012 onwards.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

But all teams do things the same these days.evertonfc wrote: There's nothing unlucky about focus, good preparation and discipline.
They rotate coaches from other clubs, rotate fitness guys, rotate players.
The top 4 teams (sometimes more than just the top 4) are all disciplined, focussed and well prepared.
And usually, they're incredibly close on ability too.
I've always believed the biggest factor in winning flags is luck.
You've got to be good enough to take your chance when/if it comes, but how big that chance is or whether it really comes at all is luck I reckon.

meh....wallowing in self pity gets us nowhere.
**** luck.......... should be our motto. IMHO this type of thinking is why as a club we sometimes get accused of not demanding success.
Essendon, Pies, Blues, Hawks and now Cats feel its their "right" to contest and win flags - they have down times but know they will be back. We dont have that same strength of conviction.....
