Will a senior player walk?

Post: # 1162362Post dcstkfc »

Salary cap is tight, Lynch couldn't have cleared up that much room.

If Ray, Dawson, Peake etc aren't traded, will we lose one of these guys for nothing in one of the drafts?

As long as Tommy and Zac are signed up. The rest are expendable.

My guess is Ray enters the PSD.

My guess is that 2 of Ray, Peake or Clarke will be gone.
Zac will stay. I hope Peake stays, had a good year IMO. Disposal seemed to improve this year.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Dempster also uncontracted. Hard to imagine him walking though after the year he had and ironically there may be the least interest for him.

99% sure he has re-signed in past few days. No source or anything its just something that was said when I chatting to someone at club during the week. But might be reading into what was said to much...

Got a feling Pelchen is playing funny buggers to keep prices low, low, low...

may sign on for much less than they wanted. Ross' uninspiring gameplan made our gops look like gumbies so will shield us somewhat from poachers.

Dawson although much maligned would be the hardest to replace.
I've read upto 13 players are still uncontracted is that right? Who are they?

I'm not sure if they will walk but they might be offered lower contracts ... One name that hasn't be mentioned is Gamble ... Really didn't set the world on fire this year

Well the thing is, if the AFL said no how would they stop it?

Not that difficult really.

If the AFL were to say all talks stop til Monday, how are they going to know whether clubs are talking to each other or not? Do they get investigators to follow around all officials from all 18 clubs. Do they bug all their phones?

It's just not possible so it makes sense that talks would be allowed over the weekend.

That's all I'm saying.

Why would you say that? The trade period ends at 2pm Monday. Is there some embargo on weekend discussions, or do you just like posting?

The weekend gives Clubs an extra 2 days to sought things out.

The last minute "Friday fiasco's" have fortunately been done away with. If Clubs can't get their acts together over the weekend, then the Clubs deserve what they get - piss poor one upmanship !
