Jason Blake sets new record

Post: # 1150716Post Enrico_Misso »

The umpires were "sensible" enough to totally ignore his 27 possession and 10 marks stellar comeback game against Freo in round 20.

Thus he maintains and adds to his world record.
199 games without a single Brownlow vote.

At least we appreciate you Jason!

The umpires obviously had him confused with Tendai Mzungu. Not surprising really. It's a common mistake.

I think it's pathetic he's been overlooked.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

He's building a massive lead.

He's on 199 games

daylight

then

Ross Henshaw 150 games without a vote
Shannon Watt also 150

Then our very "own"
Aaron Fiora on 136

Yeah, didn't he kick 3 or 4 goals in the third quarter after being put in the ruck? Totally turned the game around, single handedly.

Bad, Bad Umpires! Love Blakes all the more.

Waiting somewhat patiently. When it comes, another St Kilda Premiership will be all the sweeter for the wait. GO SAINTS ! ! !

He's played some blinders against Goodes a few years back, but they were all in finals so no votes.

The sad reality is if he played for Geelong, Hawthorn or Collingwood he would have a much higher profile.

As it is he is a virtual icon of the club and a cult hero as far as im concerned.

Wont have many (if any) newspaper articles written about him or wont do many interviews on the weekly footy shows but we know how important he has been to the club.
