dissappointing and done alot for the club
But Looking forward to the future...... not a written statement as Sam asked if it was media spiel

Ross- demanding, and holds everyone accountable
loyalty-- can't remember him asking that but why strange that he didn't

Jim- Freo able to do in a few hours--Bj were the saints too slow In hindsight yes- but dissapointing it got to that point

Garry- after words from 2009- has he abaondoned-
BJ -No not looking at it like that

BJ- just saddened bUt looking forward to the future and what may come

Garry -Bally.. - then Lovett.... did it impact the culture--
BJ- NO not on the culture,
Not luke- Luke obviously thought his time up at the Saints
Andrew- they thought they could help him start afresh, no way did they forsee what may happen

Garry or was it Jim -Salary Cap- and Sam - aren't you glad you came in -
BJ -No- all speculation and out of his hands - contracted for next year... Garry -GWS-
BJ - up and about now focus of Melbourne-
not niave and say wouldn't think about it- when the time comes

but query from all three really - Contracted St Kilda Player and wants to be at the Club and help take it forward and Garry made sure Sam did not speak over him whilst he tried to answer

maybe I'm being overly paranoid at the moment but BJ did not make me' feel very confident that he will stay next year. although I know there is not much he can say really.

Did not look at all positive did it?

We read a lot into it but I think he will be gone after next season. I don't understand how free agency works but it didn't sound good.

Stupid questioning, i mean, what else is BJ going to say? Still, he didn't get up in arms saying now is the time to stay with the Saints and I want to play out my career with them did he?

My take, he is a 90% chance of being at GWS in 2013.
10% chance of him being there in 2012.

We need to be prepared that BJ could go.

Not going to say anything that might make him look silly...now or later.

If he goes, great, we get high draft picks.....if he stays we get to keep a great player.

He's a footballer, not a lawyer.

It does rely on clubs being able to fit moving players under their salary cap to take them, so moving will not be as easy as just wanting to go.

The most important statement was when he said he wax a contracted to the Saints and wanted to stay there and move ahead with the club that's the positive!

So much will depend on 2012. HUGE year so the next few weeks are incredibly important for the club. Pick wrong and all hell may break loose with free trade, pick wisely and the players, sponsors and members will stay/come. No pressure on the panel!!!!!!!

I don't think he'll like losing much, he just has to weigh up if there will be more of that at GWS or Saints next couple of years.

Yes, and I think we may see some record breaking beltings coming up for GWS in the near future. I'm sure there's other teams who'd find room for an uncontracted BJ.

I must have missed the part where he said "I hate St.Kilda and I am going to GWS next year"

I find his honesty refreshing. Essentially he's willing to admit that if they offer him truckloads more than what he's on, then he'd considerate it. There's nothing wrong with that and he'd be a nong if he didn't.

If he does go, i'll never hold it against him. Very few St Kilda players have given me more joy than Brendan Goddard. The image of him clutching the jumper during GF1 last year is something I'll remember forever.

I just hope that we get a great deal if he chooses to go north.

Saints will free Goddard from his contract. GWS will sign him on a 4 year massive deal as uncontracted signing.

Saints will generate Band 1 Compo - they will then trade those two compo picks for Omeara and Say pick 9 & 11

GWS will lose picks 9 & 11 - but get goddard and two equivalent picks for future years.

In the end saints get omeara and picks 9 & 11 for Goddard as well as protecting their list against a raid next year

GWS get Goddard for the o'meara pick - plus a swap of equivalent picks, extending their concessions over future years"

Serious? Far out, if he leaves its because he's been offerred a truck load of cash and thats pretty much it. It has nothing to do with our historical cultural ways!
