Just announced on SEN that Robert Harvey will assume the St Kilda coaching job on an interim basis until a new coach is appointed.

Paul Roos started out as an interim coach and look how far he went, good luck Harves!

Well it doesn't matter right at the moment. We have Pelchen who is running the show with trade week coming soon.

It's a "for now" appointment and being the hero Harves is, it is a "settle the cattle" decision.

A new coaching appointment, whether it's Harves or not, will take time to work through.

I loved Harves as a player but he isn't a communicator. He can't lead by example in the box. But Ross has the same temperament, low stress, calm presence so who knows?

Look, Harveys been a great player but lets be honest....he hardly sets you alight when speaking about the game with his football intellect??

Caretake for a few weeks - ok
Coach -No chance.
