Big Mac up forward?

Post: # 1121761Post Winmar7Fan »

Long high reach, can take a good strong contested mark, not a bad kick.

With Roo out of form and seriously needing a big forward is it worth giving the Big Mac a crack in attack?

No. Brillant ruckman, average forward.

Yes he can go forward for about 15 minutes a game which he does now.

Not permanently. Good pair of hands, decent kick etc.

But like Gards, he has a good ruckmans mind. He knows how to ditch his opponent and end up in the right space, whether than be in the backline, up forward, or down back, and this is where his great making comes to the front.

He would be restricted up forward, while the forward line itself would lose defensive pressure just from his lack of pace.
