Our depth is completely shot as far as onballers go. Little up forward and a little more up back. Injuries to onballers would be very ordinary. Polo and Gamble are fit so the only changes will be Zac in for someone out. God knows who. Do they drop Blake for balance. I think the only way Blake plays is if Chips again plays on the ball.

Probably cop abuse for saying this but in imo whilst Blake got plenty of possesion on the weekend, he lacked any penetration with his disposal which meant that the often put the person he gives to under pressure. His instinct is to run sideways because he lacks the class to take on players and deliver to an opponent who can attack.InkerSaint wrote:Blake would be stiff to be dropped after the game he played.
I guess matchups will dictate. I don't envy the selectors this week.

Blake knows his limitations, I'm sure you wouldn't want him trying to baulk around opponents and go for a run. He played a very solid game last week; definitely played like a guy that knows that he's playing for a potential finals chance. The Bluff wrote:Probably cop abuse for saying this but in imo whilst Blake got plenty of possesion on the weekend, he lacked any penetration with his disposal which meant that the often put the person he gives to under pressure. He earned a coaches' vote which is more than 16 of his teammates managed. The Bluff wrote:Probably cop abuse for saying this but in imo whilst Blake got plenty of possesion on the weekend, he lacked any penetration with his disposal which meant that the often put the person he gives to under pressure. I'd consider Gilbert run with Pendlebury, as he did on Judd earlier this year (if we go in with the extra defender). Armo V Davis looks like a possible matchup as well.SainterK wrote:Ross may be tempted to have him shadow Leigh Brown.
If Dawson comes in, Fisher or even Gilbert may be able to play in the middle?
Obvious it will have to be Riewoldt.Mr Magic wrote:Well someone has to go for Tommy Walsh!
Lance or James??

yupOld Mate wrote:He looked alright in the midfield last week. I don't mind the idea of Goddard/Fisher interchanging in the midfield and down back. As long as one of them is down back it's all good.matrix wrote:seriously this fisher thing where he doesnt play defence shites me

Arryn Siposs Shin splints "Running and doing a rehabilitation program. Around 2 weeks away."
The people have spoken, and been heard! Arryn finally gets an appearance on the list for a condition that was public knowledge weeks ago.

I don't think the job on Cloke will go to anyone else.borderbarry wrote:In fact Zac no certainty to return, for mine.
If that is the case Gamble gets dropped. I reckon that leaves us a lead up forward short and one to many none posssesion backmen. They will probably go that way though I would drop Blake who would be very unlucky.BigMart wrote:Blake has comfortably beaten cloke a few times.....zac performed ok on him in the gf's but monstered him earlier in the year....
If dawes was playing id play both.....infact i still probably would
