With the game getting faster and more brutal it is unrealistic to think that each team in years to come will rest their more established players(stars) in the future on a more regular basis and expose their entire list more frequently during the H/Away season.
Looking at Soccer and Basketball their entire roster of players is totally exposed during the season.
I realise that the above sports play a lot more games during their seasons and are both not regarded as being high contact sports,but they really rely on
each player on their entire list to play their parts during the season to hopefully get them in a position to compete in their finals campaign,and then they choose their best Team accordinly to win their Holy Grail.
As Ross has stated in the past that Football is a marathon, you hope that you can get to the finals in one peice and then finals is a different proposition.
The benefits I believe could develop Kids faster and give longevity to senior players,but it does put a higher emphasis on your Recruitment Department with spotting talent more crucial then the past.
