Seeing as though this weeks game has been labelled an early elimination final I thought it would be interesting to do a poll and find out how many posters think we will make the finals.

No - Which will probably be a blessing because we would get done like a dinner against the likes of Collingwood, Geelong or Hawthorn, either of whom we would probably meet in the first week.
Good rest, early preseason, experience in young players, and we would be flying next year.

Yep, but that has much to do with other teams not really staking their claim either....the likes of Essendon, Richmond and Freo all faltering, will all help our cause I reckon.
I just still have this strange feeling that Gardi will make an Ottens like return, our midfield will improve significantly as a result, and the boys hit form running into September....but with a bigger trick bag given some recent positional moves

I sort of hope not. We've limped into the season. Reload for 2012
That said, I do think we'll make the finals. We need to find consistent form. You see flashes of brilliance, but the engine just won't idle smoothly, let alone rev freely.

Yes, IMO we will make the finals, bottom half of the 8, and win our first final against a WC, Essendon or Swans....
Can't see us progressing further than the semi's, unless we run into Carlton who we'd have a strong chance against if they were coming off a first final loss to the Pies or Cats...
Win that... So I'm thinking prelim??...
We may run into the Cats there, who we should've beaten round 1, who we match up well against, and have a good record over... It's doable...
That takes us to the GF against the Pies...
Aside from the GF replay last year, our finals record over the Pies is outstanding... We've owned them for years...
Realistically, that silly replay rubbish should never have happened... Its a Grand "Final" (singular), so it should have been extra time, which would've kept our outstanding finals record agaisnt the Pies up...
Looks like we'll be Premiers this year...

Yes, I think we'll make the finals. If we keep playing like we have been in the last few weeks, if we keep "improving", which is RL's mantra at the mo, then I'm sure we will make the finals, simply because we will be and are a better team than WC, Freo, Melbourne, Richmond, and others.
In 2012 we will be a better team than we are in 2011. It ain't all gloom and doom!!!
