Is schnieder our most under-rated player?

Post: # 1082609Post kaos theory »

I think this guy add so much potency to our scoring. Showed some of that value yesterday. ...Different player to milne, more versatile. He is creative, kicks goals and when on song very dangerous player for us. I know this is is a lot of ifs, but had he been playing in the first 2 games, that would have been 2 wins 0 losses, instead of loss and draw...

Quite possibly he is. One of my favourites. Also seems like one of the best blokes too. Very smart player.

Suffers a bit from Roo/Milne being the main targets, when we adjust that, he looks very dangerous.

Not sure he is the most underated though.

Farren Ray is our most underrated player.

Gwilt and Ray are the two who come to mind in terms of being underated.

You could just about throw Armitage in there too now, because he's having an outstanding season but you won't hear many talk about him.

Gotta love a couple of wins 8-)

2 weeks ago we had over acheivers, show ponies and blokes who'd be lucky to get a game in any other AFL side

Now we have quiet achievers, loads of underrated players, and Dempster is the new cult hero of the place.

Good times :)

I don't think so either, he was highly regarded last year and rightly so. This year he's been one of the seniors MIA. His performance yesterday was well overdue and he's not off the hook IMO unless he backs it up at least once in the next two weeks.

It's great to have a win against an insipid team that makes our players look like guns but let's not forget it's only been two weeks since that gutless effort against the Hawks.

We're not out of the woods yet. A fair indicator of the team's mentality is how easy it was for Ballantyne to bait them into throwing away that free in front of goal. Wouldn't have happened a year ago.

Course not, we didn't have Polo a year ago.

Same. IMHO Ray will establish himself as a 300 game player and a Saints legend in the next 5 or 6 years.

... Yeah early call. He goes OK Ray. Goes missing a bit though.

Schneids doesn't get enough credit in the media though.

Did Polo give away the free, have a poor game, or was that just oblique humour?

Schneider has also been pretty inconsistent. He's not flamboyant enough to get constant media exposure.

No he's a very frustratingly inconsistant player who shows us he can read the play and the ball amazingly well when he's on song and the next week struggles to get anywhere near the ball.

The scorching hot freezing cold thing week to week is painful I just wish he could be somewhere in between most of the time.

Yesterday we saw how good this bloke can be. At his best he can be a match winner.
His worst? well have a look at a couple of Grand Finals.

I'm a big fan of his, he's one of the best kicks in the side, but he knows how to let the team down.

He was the player who reversed the free kick through lack of dicipline.

Schneids doesn't get enough credit in the media though.
Or from the umpires. They seem to hate Scheniderman for some reason.

Blake is under-rated too.
