Sippo!!!!! Looking forward to seeing how he goes in the ones.

Gotta say, we are blooding a lot of new players this year in comparison to past years.

Good to see Cripps given another go.

Still late changes could mean other things but good early signs.

It's a long interchange list. With Raph looking like coming back and Blake in the side, I doubt whether Kosi will make the final team.

Peake maybe for his pace. Disappointing about Smith, but when picked, he needs tp put in a consistent performance.

Then again they named Archer at full-forward in Round 3 and he didn't end up making the side so I'll only believe it when I see it

Sippos named on the ground, does this mean he will play, or is it just lip service??...

Peake and Gamble as inclusions would be a massive step back... They have no place in our future, which we are facing right now...

If we pick 4 from the exteneded bench, hopefully we go with Armo, Steven, Cripps and Winmar... I can dream...

Realistically, with Ross the changes will be:
Out - Zac, Johnson, Smith,
In - Kosi, Clarke, Peake (or Gamble)

I recon they have named Gamble as a bit of a reward but can't see him on the bench with Sippa in
Armo and Steven are certs and you would think/ hope Cripps gets another gig
that leaves Raph probably before Winmar then Peake also ran
I'll go for Armo Steven Cripps with Raph the watchamecallit Sub !!

That was my second thought (first being SaintSimmo's words); but that's the first time I'd seen that happen - here's to hoping!

Any comments about whether Kosi will play :?:

Is the ankle 100% ?

Is he fit enough to run out the game ?

Not a fan of Gamble, but it seems that it's Gamble or Kosi. Now that may change the thinking.

Personally I'm a fan of neither. Who do you choose out of a witches hat and a sack of spuds?

No Ray, who we were told had a virus (but more likely an upper leg strain from the Brisbane game where he was our best).

And I hate that full back line.

Plodders all.

Pretty certain just because he is named on field it doesnt mean he is going to play.. Its extended benches until Saturday....

Oh and Farren Ray's "illness" must be pretty serious!!!

who knows - but judging from what we saw against brissie he isn't.

i'd love to see kosi play a couple of weeks in the twos and have a couple of really hard runs in the ruck/forward. that would give me some confidence he's building towards form.

most likely the changes will be fairly conservative, but i can't see peake getting a game on reported form, and i'm not sure how they'd be confident gamble has improved from rounds 1-3.

IN: Clarke, Koschitzke, Siposs/Winmar
OUT: Dawson (susp), Johnson (inj), Smith

if we try enough debutants then sooner or later one of them will have a blinder, right?

Yes it does..the deleted players must come from the Interchange players listed

Wrapped for Sippo..Ive got a feeling in my bones about this kid..as must a few of the Match Committee. Very little preseason due to9 a quad injury, started in the Sandy 2nds and a month later hes playing for the Saints

I hope Kosi doesnt play. Even before the ankle injury late in the Brisbane game he looked soo short of a gallop it wasnt funny. Needs a run with Sandy badly

Only negative is that it appears Smith has been tried and found wanting, one thinks another victim of shoddy disposal and decision making, the reason Geary, Eddy and to a lesser extent Heyne were discarded

Worst line of any position in the comp...

Not one of them have any offensive side whatsoever... All purely negative, all can't kick, all past anything near thier best...

I hate it too...

"general soreness", "illness", "ankle" means they dont and is how they get around it...

I would also like to see the same bench that you prefer! Probably with Winmar as the sub!

Although you are probably right, and we will see the same old plodders come back into the side!

nah. as dcstkfc said earlier, archer was named on the field in round 3 and ended up playing for sandy that weekend instead.

i'm pretty sure the final team has to come from the squad listed, but it can be absolutely any combination of the 25.

don't really like kosi being in the team considering how unfit he must be and we lack in forward 50 tackles

That back line does look slow, out of form and without anyone to take the game on.

Look, we hate Harry obrien, but boy does he take the game on and provide run.

Gilbert can do that, physically capable of it just needs to start believing he can.

This game will be all about saints players finding a spark.
