The 50 year old virgins
There's now plenty of us that have got to the wrong side of 50 and still haven't experienced one.
Surely we will rise to the occassion next year?

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

We've been close but haven't reached the ultimate climax.Enrico_Misso wrote:There's now plenty of us that have got to the wrong side of 50 and still haven't experienced one.

Hopefully this year we'll get to light a cigarette
And then roll over and fall asleep

every man and his dog said it was milney who missed the golden opportunity but for me it was blake.stinger wrote:Sainternist wrote:Sometimes I actually feel envious of those who were there to experience '66

in the dying seconds, the ball is at ground level, deep inside our attacking 50. a handball gets scrapped out directly to that guy wearing the magical #27. alas, he cannot take the ball cleanly. it instead bounces straight off his chest and the filth manage to scramble the ball out of danger.
i pose the hypothetical if he had of cleanly taken possession of the handpass. he was about 25 metres and almost directly in front of goal. no filth defender would have been close enough to lay a tackle. with seconds to go even a minor score would have done the trick but he shat himself. not his fault, plenty of his colleagues were sh*tting themselves - with the exception of lenny and beej - very tired men on the field as well. both teams couldn't really control the ball at that stage.
as they say, it's all history now

I've been waiting as long as everyone else who we're alive in 66. All i've had from the last two years are the what if's and I hate it. At least with the replay it was clinical, upsetting and disappointing. But the other two we had strange twists of pure rotten bad luck that cost us the premiership and that just absolutely sucks.
Just hope we come out next year like 2009 and continue belting teams right through to the 1st Saturday in October.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
it didn't bounce off his chest, it bounced off his shins. and he didn't exactly have long to react. maybe milney would have been able to gather, but very few others would have got near it.Sainternist wrote:in the dying seconds, the ball is at ground level, deep inside our attacking 50. a handball gets scrapped out directly to that guy wearing the magical #27. alas, he cannot take the ball cleanly. it instead bounces straight off his chest and the filth manage to scramble the ball out of danger.
