Gardy/Dempster out of next week?

Post: # 1000162Post Fidelis »

ABC just announced authoritively but without source or detail that Gardy and Dempster would not be able to back up next week.

No more details.

What's up with Dempster.
I saw him limping at one stage but played out the game well

he rolled his ankle in a marking contest in the 2nd qtr, you could see him limp away from the contest

He got smashed in the 2nd quarter, I believe. Hard.

Pendlebury would have to be doubtful for the Pies too, given the similar creaming he received.

Gardi out McEvoy in is 100%.

That Dempster news is not good. However. You'd think Gears would come in for him.

AND -

I don't think Gram will be played again.

Armitage & Steven are BIG chances, I'd think, after watching yesterday.

I did wonder about Gram during the game but there was a passage of play in the last quarter where he sprinted at full pace for 100m to give an option in an open 50.

He convinced me then that he wasn't too badly inconvenienced.

Gardi will be out for sure. I wouldn't rely on news about Dempster. Saints are keeping a closed shop. How would they know on Sunday if he wasn't going to play next week?

I think you will find Dempster is right. Brown in real doubt for Pies and Pendlebury in doubt as well. Geary is the only player who has a chance of playing apart from Ben who is certain. Steven is injured and Armo hasnt played for 5 weeks.

What's up with Brown and Pendlebury?

Stanley was an emergency, so I guess he is a chance.

Interesting. Anything substantial enough to keep them out do you or your sources think?

Gilbert went for scans today...any info on that?

If pendelbury doesn't come up it would be a massive massive plus

Nathan Brown ran the game out. You would think he would have struggled a bit with a quad injury.

Pulled up badly today. Just reporting the facts as told from someone who should know. He may very well play and play well.

OK thanks. If they're not 100% next week, well good for us because the filth have had a dream run of luck with injuries this year, even better than the Swannies in 2005.

Also left his man at a vital time in the last minute to make sure the filth did not get a clean break away. Forced the ball out and the rest is now history. While not his damaging self yesterday I reckon he will be better after the run and he still has the footy smarts
