BJ a bit stiff

Post: # 998714Post Badlands »

I know (that's what she said)
But seriously... from the biggest Lenny fan on the planet, how did BJ not win the Norm Smith. And that was before his speccy and goal in the last quarter!!

I reckon Lenny played a consistent four quarter game while BJ played 3 quarters. That said, his last quarter was a cracker

I wasn't overly surprised that Lenny won it. It was out of BJ, Lenny, Sam Fisher and Maxwell, who was also incredible, as far as I was concerned.

I'll tell you why...

Leonard Hayes

32 Disposals

18 kicks 14 handballs 1 goal 1 behind 12 tackles 5 clearances 5 inside 50's 1 assist 22 uncontested possessions 11 contested

BJ is a gun, but Lenny IS a legend

ok sorry might have got carried away.
As i said, Lenny is my favourite player by a mile.
And he was superb today.
Just thought overall, BJ shaded him for BOG honours.
Love the Lenny!

I would've been happy with either getting the medal. Both had awesome games. That goal by Lenny was huge.

You know how the umpire said something to BJ about his knees and Luke Ball... he'll be ok, won't he? Only got a free kick, no injury...

can mods change the subject to 'BJ stiff'.
I feel my initial subject is disrespectful to Lenny, who was sensational. And that was not my intention.

I would have been happy with Swan getting the Norm Smith and we won by 1 point.

I'm sure Hayes and Goddard would agree.

Those on MMM (Garry Lyon and James Brayshaw) seemed pretty unanimous that Lenny was BOG. They were pretty surprised to hear that some thought BJ was.

Well I hope Collingwood win the individual honour next week - and we have more midfield support and run from our other midfileders - and get the ball inside our F50 many more times... whilst restricting their inside 50's.

If we do - St Kilda by 20 points !

It's a team sport !

Lenny outdid all the midfielders in the All Australian Team by a country MILE today.

He deserved a premiership medal and they better use his unbelievable effort today as inspiration to win the flag next week.

i'd have lenny. bj was amazing, but lenny was doing what no other st kilda player could - winning clearances and getting the ball moving in the right direction - not to mention being everywhere at once.

So what was better? BJ's mark and goal or Lenny's goal?

I had BJ as best on. He was everywhere. He took saving marks, kicked important goals and was equal with Lenny in terms of clearances.

I'm never sad to see Lenny rewarded for being so awesome though.

Yeah nah pleasing positive
