We will win and a win well.
I'm putting out there. My vibe is strong.
Last year I was terrified. This year I trust our mob.
It'll be tight and ugly, but we'll keep our heads early and control the key moments that follow.
Our leaders are too good.
Just about to put my life in peril for the cause by taking the today's last Tiger flight south, so this will be last post for a bit.
Everybody scream until your eyes bleed and enjoy every second of the headache that follows.
This will be a great, great day.
Good luck all.
Believe!
Go Saints.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

I think we will have learnt a lot from last year.
Everyone seems a lot calmer and wiser this time round.
Hopefully that will translate on the field and we will take our opportunities.
Our record against Collingwood is good.
Ignore that last game - 8 of our guys were recovering from flu, they had their most accurate goal kicking performance of the year and we had our least accurate.
We have a defensive game plan (unlike Geelong) so we can shut them down when we need to.
Looking at them in their sunglasses today they looked pretty cocky.
I think they and their disgraceful supporters, who booed Riewoldt's entire speech, have got a bit ahead of themselves and have started to believe the Herald Sun's hype.
Don't get too fooled by the odds.
They don't represent the probability of winning.
Rather they reflect the risk/return formulation for the bookies.
So the more Collingwood supporters bet the more our odds blow out.
Yes the Pies have certainly improved.
But I think we have also improved from last year, esp. the GF.
For a start Riewoldt had a knee injury then strained muscles in GF week last year, and Goddard played half the game with a broken collar bone.
Milne, Schneider and Kosi gave us nothing last year, whereas their finals form this year has been great.
Bakes return will give everyone a lift and he is ideal to play on Statless.
Also the weather should suit us.
Very sad for Macca, but I think his exclusion makes us less top heavy, but puts a lot of pressure on Gardi + Blake/Kosi.
Also we must be due for a change of luck with the goal umpires who have robbed us of a goal in each of our last 3 finals!

I'm feeling alright about this one, I don't think our boys will let another chance slip.
Lenny, Nick, BJ, Gardi, Bakes just to mention a few. I wouldn't be surprised if those guys collapsed in a dead heap when the siren goes. And we'll be in front.
I might have a heart attack if it's that close. And I'm a fit 19 year old!mick13 wrote:I see what you did there!BakesFan wrote:Final Score

In round 3 and round 16, only two scoring shots seperated these teams on both occasions.
I am not sure where the 'collingwood easy' vibe comes from, our games effectively have been tight, and only seperated by accuracy.
We are not the favourites, nobody is expecting us to win, been there before.
Saints by 14 for mine.

Yes, I think a few eyebrows will be raised at the margin tomorrow. Underestimate this team at your own peril!!!Thinline wrote:I'm putting out there. My vibe is strong.

I think the club has handled GF week and the build up superbly... with a little help from the ridiculous filth hype machine.
I believe a lot of their younger, more inexperienced, and smaller bodied types are in for the shock of their lives when 'Saints Footy 2010 -Grand Final Edition' is unveiled upon them.
I think our boys know what it takes, and have what it takes... we will settle sooner, we will go in harder, we will prevail.
This day will belong to St Kilda and this team for all time.
Saints by 30 points.
