GF Parade Meet Up

Post: # 994515Post Maxstar22 »

Just like last year we shall be meeting to watch the GF parade together.

Meeting place - In front of the Esanda Building at 11am. Get off the train at Parliament station and go to the Spring St end, if you walk up the stairs, the Esanda building is there.

Second meeting place - if you can't get there or I have given dodgey directions, we will then we walking over and milling around the statue across from Parliament station.

Pwoit, do you still have that map from last year??

After the parade we will be heading to the Corner Hotel for a bite to eat and some drinkies.

Everyone Welcome

Map below of the meeting place.

Doesn't it start at 11.00? Where is the Corner Hotel, is that on the corner or is that the name or both

I believe it is 12noon.

But it gets pretty crowded and busy, hence the early start.

If I can wangle some time off from training for the new job, I'm sure I'll make my way over! The parade capped off with some frothies and a delicious steak sandwich!

Not sure, but it was televised last year. I didn't go last year due to the weather and the fact I had a sick child and knew I was going to the game the next day so we watched it on tv.

Footy fans across Melbourne will have a spring in their step when the city breaks its long run of sub-20 degree maximum temperatures just as grand-final fever peaks.

According to the forecast from the Bureau of Meteorology, Melburnians will get their first true taste of spring in time for the grand-final parade tomorrow, with forecast sunshine and a maximum temperature of 20 degrees for the first time since May.
