Just came across this on AFL.COM.AU, does anyone know about Berbakov's apparent appointment ????
Apologies if it's already been noted but couldn't see it anywhere.
Is he any good ???
THE SYDNEY Swans have promoted development coach Stuart Dew to the role of assistant coach, taking on the role left by Peter Berbakov after he left to take a coaching role at St Kilda.
Anyone know about this .........

BerbakovThe Sunbury junior played in the Essendon under-19's and was on the verge of making it onto their senior list but instead ended up playing three seasons with Glenelg in the SANFL. Through Glenelg coach Mark Williams he was invited back to Essendon and played on the supplementary list in 1995 before being selected number 58 overall in the national draft. He finally made his debut in 1996 and ended up playing 52 senior games between 1996 and 2000 at full-back or centre half-back but missed half of the 1999 season with a broken ankle, and then the 2000 premiership year with a knee reconstruction.
Since retiring from playing, Berbakov has been an assistant coach with the Calder Cannons (TAC Cup) and Essendon Reserves, and worked for the NSW/ACT AFL. He joined the Swans part-time in 2004 as strength coach/conditioning assistant and then became full-time mid-2005 to look after all the mid-week defensive coaching while Peter Jonas did the game-day coaching. In 2007 he was given the additional responsibilities as an assistant coach, where he will also remain in the 2010 season.
Debut: 1996 (Essendon), Games 52, Goals 14.
