looks like they want to give patto a game in the ruck before the finals as a back up (no king so he is the main ruck back up). Richmonds rucks are not as mobile as norths also so we can afford two main rucks.

Lenny is a suprise but no need to risk no that top 4 is a cert. Eddy is unlucky but hopefully it's not a break and he will be back in round 22. Armo has a chance to put his hand up. 6+ tackles, running both ways etc. could see him push for a finals spot. Miles needs to be looked at before finals in case we need a quick small backman and baker doesn't come up.

it was mentioned in the saints board on big footy that he had metacarpal injury to his hand.

i was not sure how long he would be out for.

Rumour had it that Eddy broke a bone in his hand. If so that may be why he is out.

Miles a chance to shine....or be delisted if he does not.

Patto...?? Not sure why...however Rhys in the ruck contests was poor...so they may want someone that can ruck better than Rhys.

Good to see Lenny rested to get over his niggles.

Re Dawson -

I'm assuming that this is because he is still not ready after his hand injury. If he was ready, they would play him. Probably being careful as need him for finals. Assume he will play round 22 as they have stated he is first choice for full back. Had surgery and plate inserted so no surprise it has taken a couple of weeks.

I think it's likely Morton would of played on Lenny anyway, it's a win-win, Armo gets a senior game under his belt and Lenny gets a well earned rest. Happy Gardiner gets another week as well...

Very smart ross get players match fit for finals,like Armo and patto,while resting lenny and giving gardi a extra week to make them fresh.

I think we are in better shape then last year as more players have played senior footy.We have more options in the midfield ruck and forwards with different players can play forward ruck and more mobile.

The only think that worries me is the backs if we play a big marking team we tend to get outmarked a bit.

We need Zack or someone as big as him to cover the big marking players.

Would have liked to see Simpkin play though has been great for sandy.

They couldn't bring in Simpkin and Myles together.

Experience in the backline is crucial.

I would have thought Simpkin was closer to selection than Myles, but their roles are different.

Let's just hope that this isn't some sort of sign that Baker might not get up.
