Wet and windy ..Sound familar???

Post: # 945956Post saint patrick »

Part of me thinks it would have been better under the roof at the Dome like round 14 last year..

But the other part is saying same venue, same conditions, same emotions....

The ultimate revenge without Rooy bar GF day of course. Same sort of day, same team and the same ground.

I think the bad weather will play in our favour this time without Rooey. Our forward line will be less predictable for them and the players will set themselves for a steely and desperate team effort.

A win here will do nothing to avenge the 2009 GF loss.

The best we can ever hope for is atonement on that day in September in 2010....even then you will still wonder....could this ...should this have been our second?

I listen to Geelong players talk about 2008......even AFTER winning the GF he next year they still talk of the hurt associated with letting 08 slip.

What a win Fri will do is give us 4 pts.....and just maybe rattle Geelongs incredible self belief that with their current form no one can beat them.

I'll settle for that.......................for now.

+1
Although a win this year will be enough for me to avenge last year.

We still need to secure a good ladder position though, there are some teams hovering, it's not just about getting revenge.

Wonder how familiar it will be for Milne and Schneider :( They need to step up this game. Goddard will be needed up feild, so Kosi and those 2 must play well.

Goddard may well get Ling, so it might make sense to send him forward for a little while to drag Ling out of the play.

We also need a big night from Lenny. He's the barometer in our midfield and has been held relatively quiet the last two matches.

I'm expecting that Bartel may again go to Hayes in a run with role. Lenny has a score to settle with him.

Agree. Think Milne & Schneider need to be sharp and dangerous for us to win.

Good experience for them to play in these conditions so we are ready for the big game in September.

Indeed.

I just hope BJ keeps his cool enough to avoid a suspension.

He will go nuts tonight IMO.

Looking at the current radar loop there's a band cutting across Bacchus Marsh now, then behind that the next band is across the SA border.

We'll be right. :) Bring it on.

What a choice
Live, Cold, Wet and Windy at the MCG.

OR

Delayed, Snug and Warm at home on TV.

Don't forget your ponchos if you are going.
Don't sit in the front row - the rain water always drains to the lowest row and when the drains get clogged your feet get flooded.

Just booked tickets, I know we could of turned up and saved the additional cost, but this way we can take it easy getting in there and hopefully the rain eases up for the walk over.
