and so true of any workplace- and more so for a sport when to quote a young footballer I was speaking to last night, it's "80%" above the shoulders.
the coach concerned was discussing a player who had moved through one club and was given another chance and with the" belief"of his experienced teammates- all legends of their team was able to kick 90 goals in a year.
it is so true of where the Saints and some of their players are right now- as they strive to get that extra % on field- it just may be the 'WE Believe" that get's them over that niggle, sore spot, or dropped mark... or the constant if's and maybes of the general AFL population ( let alone Saints supporters )

There's about 6 or so that I'm confident won't get the job done come finals.
The positive is, that there are about 8 that I'm confident will. And that's the important part.
It's the top 6 that are going to win it for us.

Our chance for success will come through Lyon getting the best out of everyone.

Indepenent people state that last years GF was a crackerjack of a game. But you rave on like we had put upa a performance like PA did when they played the Cats in a GF.

Was Milne in the bottom 6 before the game. Was Rooy? Was Schneider. Now just admit you are wrong.

Most of the whole 'bottom 6' debate is definately based on hindsight.
Each supporter, and even coach will have differing views and reasons as to who and why a player will be in their 'bottom 6'.

The overriding factor though, is the top 6.
Look it doesn't take Einstein to work out that if you rank your players from most important to least important that individually, or in groups of players, that you expect your better players to influence the game more.
It takes RF though to claim that the Bottom 6 are irrelevant.

I'm not saying that all of them are capable of being guns. But honestly I feel that Lyon with his tactical and man-management skills has the ability to turn every player on our list into a useful cog in the wheel of a premiership team.
That we made a Grand Final with Blake, Eddy, Jones, McQualter, Dawson, King, Baker, Raph in the team fills me with great confidence that Ross Lyon coached teams have the ability to consistently bat above their weight.
