A Freo loss today, what will it mean for next week
Throwing it out there.
Adelaide had a lot to win for today, but Freo looked beaten soundly apart from Sandilands winning nearly hitout and Barlow doing what he liked. Freo played a bit like we have been a few bursts but then got run over by a better side using the ball to advantage.
I would like to think that we have the game plan and players to be able to execute a good win over in Perth next week however if Freo are as good as commentators are saying today will hurt them and they will be looking to redeem themselves.
Thoughts!

Some good points made here. I think it will simply mean that they will fancy themselves with the way they played against us in round four and now they get the chance to play us at their home ground.
I think s good start is imperative next week. The way Collingwood started against them a few weeks ago is how we need to start. Get off to a good start and we put ourselves in the best position to win. If we try and lock it up and steal it in the last quarter we won't win.

It means they'll be wishing they had any team other than St Kilda next week.

Funny thing is, not sure they were taking it lightly, think the Eagles played a good hard game and kept them under pressure most of the night.bigred wrote:Geelong doing it again and taking some games lightly.
Hope the eagles knock em off.
If anything, WCE and Adelaide have given more credibility to our recent wins this weekend IMO.
Looks like we have beaten 'form' sides, regardless of ladder positions.
agree that a good start in essential
my gut tells me the team has ben cruising and looking for a challenge. We have had good form in perth lately and it requires lots of run and the ability to hit a target.
Barlow is a champ isn't he, refuses to stop running despitenot having many mates today. Beware fyfe, very good overhead and will play on ball. Mundy can get the hard ball very well. Otherwise pavlich is their only real key forward I rate. Need to work sandilands overand hurt him going forward. Looked very tired today.
I back our boys to out run and out tackle the dockers and put a game between us leading into the split round. Imagine going into the cats game 2nd on the ladder and who is that, late change ..... RIEWOLDT

I think if we beat freo our confidence will be up to meet Geelong.
if we lose to freo, we'll be more vulnerable.
I see a lot of our play is confidence, its a bit rattled atm, but coming back.
I think RL and the crew will watch what the toasties and adelaide did and see how that fits in with our play.

We're missing the leagues best player and arguably the best running back in the league, if you want to put on the rosies we're also missing our fullback and second ruck not to mention one of our hardball winners, add to that the fact that guys like Schneider, Kosi, McQ and even Fish look below their best and you can see that we are far better than hoping for a Grand Final. How could a Saints supporter have no faith when we're 8-3 at half way? Disgraceful!
