Good call.....plan A didn't work, so we had nothing to lose.....maybe Roo's influence and moves in the coaches box helped also, being a current player with on ground experience (something RL doesn't have).

In the past, playing Adelaide meant a dogfight and very low scoring - but their defence has cracked this year and teams have scored easily and freely against them.

What we need is Stanley to get a goal early for confidence, and maybe he can inspire Kosi to play some decent footy also.

If we get forward pressure inside 50 happening again, all will be sweet, and Milne and Schneider can do their bit also.

I was thinking the same thing whilst watching the second half. Lyon has said in the past that we are often looking for the 'perfect pass' something which was difficult yesterday due to the conditions - so we stripped it back to basics.

We also had to run the ball into our forward 50 a bit more against the wind instead of relying on the 'perfect pass' to the lead up 60 metres from goal. I reckon you could see the lightbulb go off over every players head when we kicked a couple of quick ones in the third and they all changed to suit.

The long kicking or quick entry to 50/50 contests 30 metres from goal bring Milne and Schneids into it a bit more as all of a sudden their opponents have to watch them on the deck which is harder instead of following them around trying to spoil leads when we haven't had the skills to pinpoint of late. Even Lenny got a great rovers goal from this ype of play and why wouldn't he? One of the best clearence players around and if you clear it from congestion 30 metres out then you can have a ping....

Good points Splayd & Moods, the conditions were not conducive to our high possesion conservative style. The fact that we got 3 goals down forced us to change our style and with a few goals the confidence switch got flicked and we looked a different team. I think the boys realised it is alright to go long to a contest, if we win the contest we will most likely score. Yesterdays game showed what we are capable of and lets hope we continue it next week.
