What do the 2 teams on the top of the ladder have in common?

Post: # 916795Post saint75 »

They have both only been beaten by The Mighty Sainters!

What do the second and 4th placed team have in common (2 things actually).

They were both beaten by the Saints and with a 'Riewoldtless' team......

So when you hear the banging and thumping on the ground as the bandwagoners jump off our wagon this week, just keep this in mind.

Quietly goes it for us this year.........

Hope to hear you all in full voice when we play Carlton a week from Monday at Etihad. I, for one, am truly looking forward to it. :D

Collingwood ahead of us on the ladder.

It made me vomit!

Yeah me too and it wont get rectified until we playe them again as we arent kicking the goals to get the percentage right now.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

And they do that evry year, if they win next week they will be premiership favorites accordint to...... themselves and thier moronic filthy supporters.

But that makes it even better when they fail miserably in the finals

I would be quite happy for the media to start singing the praises of all the other teams and have the saints work quietly away in the background to spring out with a bang in the finals and take the flag.

North are back playing well again, wouldn't surprise me to see them get one over the filth.

Let the filth 'believe'. I've been pumping up the tyres of every one of their fans I've run into.... We all know how it will end.

I'm more concerned about the Swans.

They are certainly getting a lot of positive press at the moment.

However, let's analyse what they have achieved so far:

. They've beaten Richmond, West Coast and Brisbane at the SCG
. They've beaten Adelaide and North Melbourne away
. They lost to us on a diabolical surface at ANZ Stadium.

Of these performances, you'd really only rate the win over the Lions particularly highly, and that was at the SCG which is surely the best possible venue at which to line up against an opponent which builds its game plan around a possession-winning midfield delivering to 2 giant forwards in Brown and Fevola. And, with all that going for them, the game was pretty even and the Swans won mainly because they made more of their opportunities.

In the next three games the Swans face Geelong at Skilled Stadium, the Dogs at Manuka and Freo at the SCG. Let's see how they are travelling then.

They get this sort of draw every year. But they won't win a flag if they can't perform in finals. Ball and Jolly will help them, but not enough IMO.

Don't Collingwood also only have 2, 6 day turn arounds? Thought I heard that somewhere around the traps.

They can try align the stars as much as they want for Collingwood, won't make a difference. They will get the wobbles at some stage......

Lets put this into perspective about the filth as well...

They beat Footscray (I still call them that), when they had a premiership hangover.
They beat Melbourne (just).
They lost to us.
They beat Hawthorn. So have four other teams.
They beat Essendon. So have three other teams.
They beat Carlton. So have two other teams.

Of those wins, only one of those teams is in the 8, the others are all performing average to poorly. If they want to get excited about being #2 on the ladder come the conclusion of round 6 - let them.

Sydney are playing good footy, and it's unlike them to be 'peaking' early in the season, so I'd expect them to drop off.

Correct. Watch out for a mad tackling North Melbourne and a losing Collingwood this week :)
