Tony Walsh - Saints Runner

Post: # 916420Post St Fidelius »

Just how many times has he given a free kick to the opposition??

His day job is the Legal Manager of the Victorian Police Association and me thinks he should just stick to his day job.

It is really unforgivable for a runner to give a free kick to the opposition and he has done so on a few occasions, NOT GOOD ENOUGH IMO!!!

While I agree about the runners sins.

I think it is very poor form to state his "day job". I suggest your edit your OP to remove it as it has no relevance to his transgressions on the football field.

I agree he is becoming far too familiar as far as giving away free kicks. As soon as I saw it I thought "not him again!"

And I don't see any problem with St Fid naming his day job. Its not as though its top secret, and it indicates that he obviously has a degree of intelligence that should enable him to learn from past mistakes and not continue to repeat them.

Free kicks like that can be crucial in close games.

I got warned for revealing Eddie Filth's street but not number (not many houses tho) and the offending piece was deleted.
I deduced Eddie's address from articles on the internet.

Seems I gave away eddie's location by night and you have revealed this guy's address by day.
The police association's address is no secret.

By the way Eddie Filth's address is ........ YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED AGAIN!

Everyone in Britain knows that MI5 headquarters is located in Thames House on the north bank of the Thames at 11 Millbank (immediately south of Lambeth Bridge) and MI6 is at Vauxhall Cross on the south bank of the Thames at 87 Tachbrook Street (PO Box 850) immediately north of Vauxhall Bridge.

Drat, that will probably get me two warnings and visit from Krudd's gestapo.

PS the head of MI6 is known as "C" not "M" after its' first director George Mansfield Smith-Cumming.
Note the "C" is signed in green ink.

Again, I feel he should stick with his day job, because one day it just may cost us a match.

Odd then that you took exception to another poster mentioning your day job.

In both cases I thought it poor form.

No problem with you saying for him to stick to his day job. But what relevance is there in what that day job actually is?

I have already sated that as a runner that Walsh has been giving awy free kicks to often. However I see absoluety no reason to raise what his day job is as part of the discussion.

Already has if my memory serves me correctly. It was during our narrow loss to North Melbourne last season, he gave a free away during red time which resulted in either: a goal assist for North; or a potential I50 being taken off us (I cannot remember which).

I have no doubt the job of runner is a tough one, as you have to remain alert at all times all the while trying to translate the coach's messages to players all over the ground. However, the fact that every other club's runners seem to keep out of the way suggests that we may need to make some changes/revert back to Danny Sexton.

You already have my answer. Just read my post that you quoted.

Anyway I have made my point and will not post further in this thread.

You seem to believe that anyone's "day job" can be mentioned even when there is no relevance.

I disagree. I will leave it that.

Walsh's own profile make reference about him being a runner for St Kilda so there is nothing wrong with mentioning his day job seeing that he himself mentions both in his profile.

Gee's there are some farkwits on this site that think they are somewhat better than others.

Why don't you just post without suggesting I (or anyone else) edit their post and leave that to the mods

St. Fid, is he a Solicitor, because he acts like one when he is on the ground. No common sense.

I say piss off the runners altogether, or limit there numbers/ number of times on the ground. I am sick of runners and water carriers being in the way and also of the umpire being in the corridor and sides, (Essendon good at it) using them as a shield to centre the ball.

Maybe this year?
