Had an interesting conversation with a diehard blues supporter about what he wears to the footy.
It seems that whatever he is wearing when they win their first game of the season, he wears for every other game.... right down to the socks and jocks.
Superstition.
Personally myself, I'll wear whatever keeps me warm/cool... Saints colours are a bonus.
Anybody else have special things they wear to the footy?
A lucky jumper...... scarf..... badge.... underwear ..... whatever?

Not that superstitious...BUT I endeavour to choose clothes that contain no hint of the colours of our opponents! i/e for the Freo game the purple jocks stayed in the drawer! (some may say I was doing the world a favour )
Jeans, Saints polo (with jumper under if cold), scarf, socks with our colours in them, Saints gloves if its really cold but makes it harder to clap without sounding like Humphrey bear), Saints shoes, Saints wristband, Saints Earrings.
Shattered dreams are just opportunities for improvement. Live and learn, fail and try harder. 2011 beckons.
Yes I tend to agree with your Carlton friend. Some clothes are plain unlucky and should only be worn during the week, never to a game.
Bought a Roo Tshirt which I wear this year with my Saints vest from a few years back, has all my badges on it. Saints jewellery, black shorts or pants, weather pending. Lucky Saints thongs and undies And of course my members scarf.
I still take my 1986 or earlier scarf to the footy I have a saints mascot tied on one side and badges on the other side
