They won't put me off with a 10am start (I'm only 2 minutes away), 8am may do it though.

I think this justifies the skipping of uni this week.

I have to travel a good 50 mins to get there, might put me off.

Anyways, I am sure someone will give us a report...

I would be interested to know how Gardiner trains, Bernard.

I suspect he is not 100% fit and may be the change for Kosi to come in.

Also reckon McEvoy will come in for Peake. Peake has been ok but just to strengthen the ruck while Gardi is out.

I might go, never ever been to training in my life but I need to go to the club to pick up the members scarves and I have the day off, so why not?

Maybe this year?

King Gardiner McEvoy Gwilt didnt do anything on the ground, Hayes and Kosi made a brief cameo, BJ Gram Ray Mcqualter and Dawson did some xtra running and then joined the group for the second half of the ball work. Dawson spent a lot of time practicing kicking over about 30 meters. McGrath did a lot od mobility work with cones and timed sprints Lynch and Stanley just ran laps, Laynch in particular ran nearly a full hour around and around (pick on the red head  ).

They were quite upbeat, talking a lot and coming up with all kinds of names for each other, calling Raph Obama and Jones Warney and Whitey.

Looked to me to be some interest in Gramms groin from one of the fitness staff, just watching them talking from a distance and Gramm was pointing at the area and making hand gestures, doing some extra stretches etc, Alot of support for Zac, pats on the back etc ? dont know what that means. My wife thinks mini and Farren are a bit to close :P kept touching each other and fooling around?

My first time at training in nearly 35 years supporting the saints.

Wouldnt rush back for the open session I must admit, closed competitive sessions would be much more interesting you would think.

Today was a PR exercise which only lasted 40 minutes.

Basically nothing to report.

Can understand Dawson kicking passes of 30 metres.
He always looks dodgy when they pass it around down back trying to force the oppostion to come out of their mid field zone.

I would like to hear that Jason Blake was NOT pushing an opponent in the back and NOT holding on while practicing marking contests.
I would also like to hear was practicing raising his arms like Robert Harvey when he is about to be tackled. Too often he allows his arms to be pinned preventing him getting in a correct disposal.

BUT then that would might convert him into a super defender and that would be unfair to the opposition.

I disagree on this point. I think his kicking skills last year were very good considering how big he is and that his main job is to stop forwards.

Beleive it or not, he was the most efficient player by foot in the league last year.

It must be Jimmy's new program then, he only does light sessions during the week to ensure he is good to go game day.

Seems to be another win for the fitness and conditioning coaches, he has been running out most matches really well this year.
