OUR TOP 10

Post: # 896647Post gringo »

As a response to the Mike Shehan top 100 I challenge you to do your top 10 for us. I find it hard to leave players out of this list so would hate to do the whole AFL.

Riewoldt
Goddard/Lenny-can't split them
dal santo
montagna
Fisher
gilbert
Gram
Jones
Milne

I know Milne and Gram should get a few people bitching but they are still players that would go well in any other AFL club and be considered a grade by most opposition fans.

Dal Santo is underrated. He led the club in contested possessions, finished equal fourth in the league in clearances and kicked more goals than any of the rest of our midfielders (16.5 - try doing that, Gram and Joey!). Despite reputations, Dal Santo wins about the same amount of ground balls as Joel Selwood. My guess is most opposition coaches rate him a lot closer to Hayes than people here do.

Yeah nah pleasing positive

Excellent point. I think the umpires would agree with you, he usually seems to poll quite well in the Charlie.

Absolutely, and a very good reminder that fans should not be too quick in writing recruits off. Sure they won't all apply themselves and improve the way CJ has but he has shown it can happen.
