Rich v St. K Round 11 - MCG or Ethihad?
If you click on the links on the AFL website the full 2010 fixture download has our game against Richmond in round 11 at the Etihad Stadium but the PDF download link has the game being played at the MCG?
Which one is it? Hopefully it is at the MCG an extra game there would be great.

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

Richmond fought to lift its MCG quota to nine home games of a possible 11 and was handed the June 4 Friday night St Kilda clash only to have it rescheduled at Etihad at the last minute. The AFL was unimpressed when the Tigers' small win was reported in The Age. As the Demons have learned to their peril in the past — fighting the AFL is generally not only a fruitless battle but a dangerous one.

why would we play "away games" against Richmond and North at the MCGR. Harvey 3 votes! wrote:If you click on the links on the AFL website the full 2010 fixture download has our game against Richmond in round 11 at the Etihad Stadium but the PDF download link has the game being played at the MCG?

part of that could be because we get nobody turning up. for some reason saints supporters think the MCG is TIO stadium in Darwin and its just too far to go to. because there is no roof we only get a small amount of supporters there. either that or a large % of the reserved seat members dont show.mcadam05 wrote:why would we play "away games" against Richmond and North at the MCGR. "Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

Correct.
Sainters dont attend away games like the other clubs at the dome let alone some foreign grounds like the G.

Perhaps WE can learn from the Richmond experience. It may have been better for them if they HADN'T shot their mouths off to the daughter of a former president, who is also a reporter 1st and Richmond supporter a very distant 2nd !!saintbrat wrote:Richmond fought to lift its MCG quota to nine home games of a possible 11 and was handed the June 4 Friday night St Kilda clash only to have it rescheduled at Etihad at the last minute. Bit hard to prove we dont turn up the G when the only H&A game weve played there in 18 months was a dead rubber game against the bottom side

the blues game felt like aami stadium, a bay or 2 behind the goals and that was it!
collingwood was a bit better but not by far.
