Bulldogs not interested in Fev

BREAKING NEWS: THE Western Bulldogs will not pursue a trade deal for dumped Carlton spearhead Brendan Fevola.

Dogs' coach Rodney Eade said the club had made a commitment to Sydney discard Barry Hall and was highly confident of securing the key forward, either by trade or through the pre-season draft.

''We are committed to Barry and he is said that he is committed to us, or that he would like to come to us,'' Eade said.

''That (Fevola) hasn't changed our thinking at all.''

Carlton yesterday announced it would be seeking a trade for Fevola following his drunken post-Brownlow count antics.

More to come

Good for us then....

looks like the Dogs Salary Cap is tight (as ours would be)

So it would mainly seem now that it may revolve around:

* what the Pies are willing to put up....
* how firm Fev is that after being sacked about putting his foot down about which Club he goes to....and if the Saints be willing to drop his salary.

One would guess that the Pies would be willing to offer more player wise that the Saints are as their need for a Key Forward is greater. But with the pies who knows...

Is this not just a stunt by the Blues?

I think they will declare that they tried to trade him, but , unfortunately there was no reasonable deal offered . For the members best interests, they couldn't accept the deal from collingwood. But next season, Fev will need to buckle down at the blues and behave. Or something like that .

If they get a great trade deal , sure, they will trade him. But they won't trade him for nothjing - and collingwood has a history of failing in trade deals because they always ask for too much.

Blues have been showing a lot of interest in Goose (who is only 24 and a proven defender with the possibility of moving up forward) for quite awhile.

Also read somewhere this morning that they are after a Round 17 pick if they pick up McLean as they are giving Melbourne their pick. Seems like a perfect fit for both. Collingwood don't have a lot that they can trade and I am sure they don't want another Cloke, the one they have is bad enough......

Will really boil down to what Ross wants going forward. We will see soon enough.

The only thing more pathetic than this feeble PR stunt by those blue bag cheats is the amount on here who last week would have gone to the grave telling you what a disgraceful pig Fev is but who this week will gladly concoct a deal using any old combination of saints players to get the same disgraceful pig in red, white and black.

On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

They're screaming for a forward so they decide to go with a 32 year old thug when they can get a 29 year old leading AFL goal kicker.

He said no one was knocking the door down, not that there was no interest at all.
