"Special Talent, not somehting we have considered. Very expensive. We arn't a perfect list. Happy to keep list together. Not alot of room in salary cap. We'll have a look"
Luke Ball:
"I have a strong relationship with Luke, Rate him highly, have invested alot in Luke, Drain has put a contract offer to Luke. Could of had some more time in the 3rd and 4th 1/4. Fantastic kid. Really proud. Deleivered what we asked.
Matt MAguire:
"Picked for Hawks game, hurt hamstring in last session. Required playing. Don't want more than 3 or 4 picks. Can he get going again? Very well respected, lives with Lenny. Out of contract, come off a good contract, that will change. He is happy to stay. We havn't really given him a yes or no"
Roo:
Havn't spoken to him about his last 1/4. Not hurting anymore than any of the other players. Can be used to fuel you to produce your best. Confidence out of standing up to the best ever team.

how are you= R: you need to butter up and go on- I'm the leader and need to take a lead- only watched it once, not detail as usual just had a look to clarify
any particular part of game you looked at = R Geelong lifted and took opportunity -we did alot right and they persisted- ( he's on the eastern freeway)
what immediate thoughts =R:didn't read the papers, cats celebrating and it twisted knife
had the morning at Etihad- hadn't slept much( bed at 5 am)and only 3 drinks , wasn't easier, brutal end to season but proud of way they played and show they put on
a harder press conference =R: emotional but emotional with players pain, their work, a little numb but you have to carry your self well
who played well- R: Gram, hayes, baker, dal under heavy tag- corky in 2nd, Ball, schneider, Roo. Kosi, hayes never gave up- we had opportunity, but they took their opportunities. did not rotate the backs as usual,
Max match up? see article,=R:- no naive article , he'd only played 7 games too much of a risk- Zac had been unwell - on a drip and two hour solids till he got through warm up. Max at his fittest yes BUT limited prep, Dempster other option in that position.
medium forward deficiency- Nathan Brown? ==R: agree on void and would like to play Goddard, drafted for it with Cahill LYnch and Heyne- but still coming on- only kicked 15 goals less than Cats for year, lot of opportunities. hadn't thought of Brown
Fev named saints-= R: aware of his saying saints- reviewing list and know of his saintly history , on the table but all new info but not something they have considered,
deliberately too players 18 and under last year- happy to keep the list together- not a lot of room in cap- will sit and look at every player available
Ball- R: met with players and sent them away with programs, Luke had a difficult period and measurable things to work on Started him in centre square for G/F ( show of confidence and support)- contract offered- , unless anything different he is required and has said he wishes to stay . Delivered as asked with his work .
Matty Maguire= R: discussions held a long way out from end of season , picked for Hawks game but injured in last session and then difficult to get him in, no ones asking about his position ( trade) -HE IS required. Difficult to know can he really get going again- well respected and member of the group and will chat with him, contract will be different= he is happy to Stay
Roo-how taking defeat?= R: haven't discussed his last quarter - group is hurting- you can either use it to fuel development, or let is destroy and we stood up on the greatest peak - you need a lot to go right-not hurting more or less than the rest.
in rooms after game did you speak to individuals =R: no ticked off effort, did a lot right, NOT appropriate to individualise.
use the result for /as positive when they come back = R: Bottom line is the team had improved, individuals improved, systems improved - improved by along way,
some suggest a wasted year- NO WAY extremely negative- poor comment. learn your lessons and improve- can use it but not as yet inapportiate don't need to not throw baby out with bathwater
Rohan one of the best seasons and congratulations on a great football year=R:- we've all grown but we have a bit of work to do yet.
Comments - Well done, Congratulations
where tomorrow = R: Canberra tomorrow and met 1st round picks, and chat with Drainy re trade and draft.

WELL DONE ROSS-- excellant interview- just 4 days from such dissapointment

About Fevola, he said that they did list management today so haven't really discussed him yet. Said they will discuss all the players on the trade table when the time is right. Mentioned that our salary cap is almost full, so would be difficult to fit him in. He didn't sound too keen, though he did say they would look at it.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

I had a few. probably more than a few and was suggesting what moves they could have made during tha last quarter. He was fine about it and was having a bit of a laugh and suggesting I apply for a coaching position next year. So it isnt just me who is sarcastic.bigcarl wrote:come clean with it now. what did you say?plugger66 wrote:Hope he didnt mention what stupid comments I said to him on Saturday night.
