The sprint is a relic of the 70's and has no real interest from the clubs/supporters.

Perhaps they should scrap it unless the clubs take it seriously.

It's just another NAB cub/State of Origin/International Rules game thingy.

I thought it fun that the Winner - A Saint had an onfield cheersquad- the team were out there for warmup/ look whilst the heats were on

and a fair amount of the stadiium cheering him on
normally the winner is from a team not in the finals./

Didn't (?) Cox for the Saints win one in the 80's...I seem to remember it was the closest we got to a final for the decade.
