Weg poster

I'm pretty sure I have read that there will be an official Herald Sun artist by another artist this year.
Just heard on the radio though that Weg had done a number of posters before his death and with rhe blessing of his family there will be one of these released this year after the Grand Final.
They will be available from Legends & Heroes. I think the address was 419 Swan St. Didn't catch any more of the address than that.
They will cost $2 each, and proceeds will go to a cancer charity.

Should we win, is there anybody here who would be willing to purchase one for me? Of course I'd pay for it and organise to pick it up, have it posted or whatever.

(incidentally, apparantly his final work, still sitting unfinished and untouched on his desk is a half completed pic of our own Nic Riewoldt)

Mark Knight (Herald Sun cartoonist) has done this years posters (with the blessing of WEG's family). They will be on sale outside the G after the game and the proceeds will go to the Royal Childrens Hospital as has been the case for many years !!


NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

If we do win, there will be 1000 limited edition posters on sale at the Herald Sun shop on Sunday - cost $25.

The sale of these limited edition posters have happened for years and I believe its well worth the money, seeing that there is only 1000 made each year.

The Herald Sun shop will open 10am on Sunday morning


Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

These Limited Edition Posters are of better quality and are collector items...

They are made of far thicker paper

I intend on getting early if we win...

edit- Shown on footy show tonight

they did show some early drawings on the news tonight and he has said the Saints one has Nick and the Geelong one a cat..

Weg had thre posters in the works which are being produced as souvenirs

he was working on a Nick R poster-- if that's any sort of omen.
