For those looking for tickets I was able to ring the Sydney Swans (02 9339-9131) and spoke to Anita Murphy this morning and she was able confirm PRIME seating and a GF Brunch for $950 with my credit card details.

What's even better, she has couriered the tickets to me and I have a ticket for Q55 row F seat 3 in my hot little hand already!

It's worth trying Anita at the Swans if you don't have a ticket already.

Good Luck to everyone seeking a ticket and Good Luck to the Saints on Saturday!

Has anybody heard that the Club will be holding a function win/lose at Crown after the game on Saturday Night?

I haven't seen any mention of it and am wondering if it is 'open' to fans or a 'closed shop'?

Not sure it is closed. Just not advertised. Costs a few hundred a ticket though unless you can get freebies.

I snuck into the 2001 function for the Lions... had a cracker of a night. Got some funny looks when I grabbed the cup & yelled out "The Saints will have this next year!"... only 7 years off the mark hopefully!

It's worth heading home, suiting up & heading into Crown... there's bound to be some way you can get in.

hoping to go to the parade on Friday. Not really familiar with where it starts and ends.

Will there be some sort of map in the paper so the country folk can work out where to go?

And, do all the team or just the captain and coach end up on the stage, steps, whatever it is?

For those who can't get a ticket(not me):

Southland Cinemas are also showing the GF live on one screen.

Sounds like a good option for familys and considering the weather.

Book tickets online.

Does anyone have access to a seating map that shows how far the roof extends?

I am trying to determine whether I will be under any cover from the rain or not. I am in Row F in Q55.

I have seen seating maps on the web, but not one that shows the position of the roof overlaying the seats. It looks like a mystery???

Thanks for the feedback SB.

I'm bringing a GORETEX hat, jacket, pants and shoes so I can survive anything. The '71 GF was very wet too but I was under cover then. Hoping for a better outcome thgis time around!

As someone who is unfamiliar with the St.Kilda foreshore, can anyone please tell me where the big screen is likely to be and which tram line would get me there?

Thanks.

THink it will be in front of the sea baths. Tram 16 from the city goes down St Kilda Rd whilst tram 96 from the city goes down the rail link through South Melbourne/ALbert Park.
