Tickets sales for Friday night better then cats v pies ?

Post: # 819721Post Sainter_4_life »

Seems weird but going by this it looks to be true

Friday's first preliminary final featuring minor premier St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs has 22,000 tickets left, including standing room, while 27,500 tickets remain for Saturday night's second preliminary final between Geelong and Collingwood.

It was mentioned (less seats for sale) this is because Saints V Dogs is the series ticket nominated game

We are the season ticket game..

Happened the 1st week too. Gee v Dogs (season ticket game) had more sold on the first day than Saints v Pies...yet there were 14,000 more people at our game

You have to realise these are the figures for the general public. They do not include MCC or AFL members so it would actually be possible to get 55000 at a game and it could be sold out. Not likely of course.

Who cares how many are there as long as we win?

Haven't got my ticket yet.

Must get in if you've got a "season ticket", I don't think so.

MCC General admission and visitors tickets were sold out by lunch time for Pies v Cats. Visitors tickets still readily available for Saints v Dogs.

There are nowhere near as many Dogs fans as there are supporters for Pies and Cats. The Saturday night game will be close to a sell out IMO.

Hope to see Saints fans out in force and extremely vocal as they were 2 weeks ago. It should be a sea of red, white and black on Friday night.

It's actually a "series" ticket, not a season ticket.

Basically they get you into one designated game at the MCG for each week of the finals.

On that note, does anybody know if/when these actually go on sale each year?

AFL members will sell out for cats v pies game as well. Pies have over 10000 AFL full members, and cats have about 3000. With the neutrals this will sell out in no time just like our qualifying final did 2 weeks ago.
