I have thought all year, that come finals time, a lack of a big forward is going to cost the doggies, especially at the G.

I also would rather play dogs, but reckon it will be the Lions.

I don't care as long as they belt the daylights out of each other, and the most badly beaten up team then wins it.

I don't agree with most of the comments on here so far.

I reckon the Dogs are specials to win tonight: if they don't get up in this game, Eade should surely get the chop.

And I do think that we should all be hoping like hell that the Lions get up tonight. I know they gave us some hassles in our game earlier this season, but they don't hold any concerns for me on the MCG.

Whereas I see the Dogs as posing quite a threat.

I know we have beaten them well twice this year and generally had their measure in the 2005-07 period (although 2008 wasn't too pretty). I also know that they have typically had trouble with Riewoldt and Kosi.

But all of these wins (and the 2008 losses) were at Docklands. Since they got their act together in 2005, I don't think we've played them at the G.

Eade has been preparing his team to run themselves into the ground in the finals. They lost their QF last year (to the Hawks), won their SF pretty easily against the Swans and then seemed to reach their peak in the PF and gave the Cats a good run for their money for 3/4 of the game before dropping away (and missing gettable shots) in the last quarter.

They worry me far more than the Lions.

Lets hope that Browny ruffles up a few.

I fancy the Dogs to win...but expect an interesting battle.

I'm tipping a draw with ten periods of extra time.

I hope the Lions win... we will thump them.

The Dogs are VERY dangerous on their day.

I too am hoping the Lions get up in a tough, gruelling encounter. If they do - they will surely be limping into the PF to play us. Ready for the taking in my view.

The Doggies are an unknown on the G' - not sure what to expect from them. We have had their measure for sure all year, but on the Dome.

I would reckon we are certainties to take care of Brisbane next week, but the Doggies would worry me - even tho I would reasonably expect us to be warm favourites.

Personally, I think we will beat either team, so I am not concerned who wins.....

However, I think the doggies will beat the lions easily....

Simple puddy cats beat these puppies.
Imagine the mauling they will receive from the king of cats, the lions.

Both games to be an anti climax I think.

Dogs will pump the Lions and run all over them after half time.
Crows will pump the Pies (it'll be close for the first 3min)

I'm almost tempted not to watch the game. I know that whoever wins, I'll be left with nightmares about the way they've played.

Bradshaw and Brown will run riot.

Aker, Johnno, Giansiracusa, Murphy will find space and the Dogs' forward line will all of a sudden look like a Premiership winning combination.

Cooney, Cross, Boyd and Higgins will take the p1ss.

Black, Power, Rich, Drummond ditto.

If I can manage not to watch, I'd rather leave the worrying for Ross and co.

Lions for mine.

If the Dogs kicking efficiency breaks down they're toast - they don't have any other option.

We have shown them up twice when the pressure is applied - as did Geelong in the first quarter last week when the game was at it's hottest.

Brisbane have 2 key forwards - and I don't think Lake or Morris can hold them all night.

I'm thinking Lions and Adelaide, Lions because the Doggies won't handle a physical contest very well...and Adelaide, because I would like everyone's infatuation with Collingwood to go pop!

I'm going tonight and from the five minute mark of the first quarter will be yelling, old-school loud VFA styles, "GO FOR THE INJURIES LIONS!!!"  8-)

Dogs will win by 5-6 goals. Happens every year that people think the side that won the weak final will beat the side that lost the strong final because we go with the winners. Rather play Brisbane by a long way but it will be the Dogs.

absolutely. lions (at home) only just got over an ordinary blues outfit who had been pumped by 70pts a week earlier.

having said that, i think crows will beat an injury riddled pies after the physical battering we gave them.

Griffin and Murphy are a bit sore, not sure they will handle a physical game against us next week...

Went to the game.
It was very ordinary.
No intensity.
Poor skills.
Boring to watch.

We will make mincemeat of them.
