Re: Injuries
Lenny shoulder, did it in last weeks game. He may have been ill as well, but I doubt it.StSteven wrote:Inconsistent information coming out from RL Press Conference re Lenny.
I thought he was "Ill" but Ross intimated it was an injury and will see how he goes during the week.
Any other news?

The fact that I didn't notice Gardi had gone off probably speaks volumes about his contribution... Pretty slack...
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Sore Elbow plus cold/flu...probably a wise decision to rest him given we can't lose top spot.plugger66 wrote:Must have it in the elbow.Bono wrote:Lenny's got the flu. Sopke to him before the match.

I was at the game and never saw Gardi go off.Bernard Shakey wrote:You obviously weren't at Docklands today?Thinline wrote:The fact that I didn't notice Gardi had gone off probably speaks volumes about his contribution... Pretty slack...
Though I was probably too pre-occupied with screaming abuse at the poor display of skill from the players and the fact that we never really looked interested enough to win a game we definately should have won.
Was right near Riewoldt when he went down, and he definately grabbed the back of the knee as soon as he hit the ground on the tackle. I was surprised he stayed out there because his facial expressions certainly suggested he was in a lot of pain. Shows what a true champ he is.

You said you didn't see him go off, which reflected his contribution.4ever_saint wrote:I was at the game and never saw Gardi go off.Bernard Shakey wrote:You obviously weren't at Docklands today?Thinline wrote:The fact that I didn't notice Gardi had gone off probably speaks volumes about his contribution... But from the cosy confines of my lounge, I couldn't see any noticeable contribution from either ruckman until King start winning taps in the second half.

Roo's was clearly a knee ( right in front of me). Doctor was out and discussed it with him. I was worried, but about 1 minute later he went on the most amazing zig-zag lead, which either proved it was OK, or was very risky.
But he did seem drop off later in the game........I guess watch this space.

How ridiculous they kept him out then for a dead rubber if it was the same knee injury he had pre season. That injury had them stumped...he had a golf ball bump on it,and no specialist could explain it. If it is the same injury, then it was pathetic to keep him out therestarsign wrote:ditto!howlinwolf wrote:Nick said in the Victory room after the game the injury he got during the game was a recurrence of an old injury. He said he'll see how it comes up through the week.
I didn't like hearing that.

Bono is a highly reliable source (close to - or perhaps even a member of - the playing or coaching personnel or the club management or board ), so I will personally believe what he says.Bono wrote:Lenny's got the flu. Sopke to him before the match.
Lenny is undoubtedly carrying one or more injuries, as are many members of the team at this stage of the season. This doesn't mean that there is any risk of him being unfit to play in the finals.
