The advantage myth

Just watched a replay of the Game on Fox and was reminded how many free kicks we missed out on...particularly in those final frantic minutes...Kosi blatently held and thrown out of the way in a marking contest by Scarlett and then Milne was mauled and taken out of another a few seconds later... :shock:

Makes Newman making an issue to Joey on the footy show of the so called bad decision re the advantage look a big sook :cry:

...the decision was right and the cats stuffed it up FFS... :roll:

Winners are grinners and the Cats can get stuffed.... :x

And they were hurting bad :twisted:

Sam couldnt give a stuff. He just hates the umpires. He certainly wasnt sooking. It was 5 days ago shouldnt we just move on. The AFL found the decision right so who cares. Lets just beat the WCE.

Yep. Let's move on. It's annoying that the Saints didn't take any credit for the win, but then again Geelong lost and still aren't the ones flying under the radar - the Saints are.

Looking forward to this week's match and Dempster's return!

I actually like Sam as do plenty of others and plenty of others dont like him. IMO he couldnt give a stuff. emoticon rolling eyes old man cleaner.

Right on. I and anyone I spoke to thought we had it worse on the day (as the stats emphasized), although I thought that advantage call (not being brought back) was a SHOCKER. They're usually brought back every single time when that sort of thing happens so quickly.
Had they brought it back we'd have crowded their forward 50, though, and he'd have been kicking from 50 (or further) on/near the boundary line. He'd have been doing well to score. By the reactions since then, you'd think he was in the goalsquare and that it was in the last 20 seconds. They had a great go overall from the umps and had all day to get in front and DIDN'T. Not even once.

I believe Sam was genuinely pissed off as he has a genuine love of Geelong.

It was stated today that the correct decision was made.

KB mentioned on the panel show today that the player who was free with the ball was given advantage.

He then stuffed up the next posession, the ump cant call back a players mistake.
