Nice half forward line

Post: # 770989Post El Wood »

Schneider - Riewoldt - Hall

Hall:
. The perfect replacement for Hammill
. Somewhat better than Gwilt
. The coach knows him well
. Only went bad once Lyon left Sydney
. Another 12 games and gets to 100 with St.Kilda for father-son rule (scary thought)
. Only backmen he can't beat is Max
. If we can resurrect Gardner...
. Will play cheap just to prove himself

One word "no"........

I reckon he would carry alot of baggage from the bad st kilda past. Why risk what we have now with relics from the past imo.

I don't mean to be rude but you have got to farking joking.

There is only one place Barry will not be playing for and that is any AFL club.

Washed up. Career over.

Hi El,
you missed one - IntraClub games would be a sellout just to see the Goose/BBBH rematch.

Great back-up if one of the forwards falls over. Love to have him back.

Have a feeling neither will be with us.

I think there's another thread pretty much covering this subject.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

On a one year contract? 33 at the start of next season. N-O with a capital N.

I don't believe Hall is a particularly malicious or bad person (like all Saints, I did however believe his punch to the guts of Goose was unacceptable), but his constant brain snaps and general short temper are too risky to have on field.

McQualter - Riewoldt - Lynch is far more preferable for next year. Lynch is a long term prospect and will be ready next year and it'd be more productive to get a year into him than a year out of Hall.

I have always been a big fan of BBBBHall's football skills (as opposed to his random acts of violence).

I actually believe that all of the current players at the club - even Goose - would wear the idea of him coming back (but I doubt they would have worn Everitt at any price). Hall is like a big, somewhat stupid, kid with ADHD: what you see is what you get (even if you don't always like it). Everitt, although I am sure he is more of a Sainter at heart than Hall, is a bit more malignant ("screwed up" is another way of putting it).

However, I can't find a place for Hall in our current forward setup. At his best, he seemed to fill a fairly similar role at the Swans to that played by Riewoldt at our club.

So I hope that the club doesn't consider the possibility........

kidding urself, why ruin our superbly structured forward line? Ross lyon has put a lot of time and effort into it and sure hall is a past superstar but his career is OVER

and look we already have kosi and roo, two towers is enough, look what happened when we had g-train, kosi and roo together...forward line just did not work

Thread title is deceiving, I thought this was about our nice forward line....not about messing with it!

Jebediah Hall. Young up and comer, mirror image of Aaron Hamill but still 16. Saints to take him with draft pick 15 (or higher) in 2011 as they rebuild towards their fourth.
