I thought Raph played his best game this year by a long way.he's only mistake was dropped the ball in the centre square in the last quarter. But he gave us alot of run

To be fair, he hasn't set a high standard this year though, so it wasn't hard to play his best game. I am in the minority with other supporters who believe that Raph is important to our team going fwd. Needs to eradicate silly errors (like that careless tackle in the dying minutes) and maintain his intensity, and he could easily have a premiership medallion at the end of the year - which he will be an important contributor twds.

it must have been hard for raph on sunday knowing that any mistake could be his last as a senior player. to his credit he stood up okay.
i'd like to see him given a shot in the role that gwilt had for most of the season. i think he could be quite effective there and a difficult match up for oppositions.
if he can get back to the point that he feels he is secure in the team, he's a potential star for us,

That would be the best news Raph has heard this year..... gives him another week.n1ck wrote:Max will not be playing.Beno88 wrote:If Max is fit Raph shouldn't play this week.
Sat about 20m from him on Sunday, and he told my brother he was still 2 or 3 weeks away.
Noticed he still has a big limp when he got up at Half Time.
But the question must be asked....... Why no Goose?

Because he's big and slow with a turning circle like a VF Valiant, he;s woefully underequipped to match up on anyone in the West Coast forward half, he's not needed forward because there's no room for him and even if he was needed at either end of the ground, he'd probably have to leapfrog Gwilt, Eddy, Armitage, and Dempster such is our depth and fexibility.GrumpyOne wrote:That would be the best news Raph has heard this year..... gives him another week.n1ck wrote:Max will not be playing.Beno88 wrote:If Max is fit Raph shouldn't play this week.

Because Goose hasn't played decent football for the Saints in such a long time that he has been overlooked and overtaken by just about every defender on our list.
Raph Clarke > Goose
