who will CJ tag

Post: # 764422Post saintjake »

who should he be sent to?
ablett
bartel
selwood
i personally would want him to go to stevie j.
has the ability to carve a game apart
more then the others
could get 5 goals and 30 touches.
regardless of who goes to ablett he will still get 30 touches
stevie j for mine

CJ was awesome again today...Cousins had no effect on the game at all... give him Ablett because I for one wouldn't concede him 30 possies

I would put my money on Selwood... He is a good mix of inside and outside mid, which seems to be what CJ plays best on... Someone like Ablett seems to get 30 possies regardless of someone sitting on him, so Ross will likely play someone head-to-head with him...

Ross will likely try to send Gram or Goddard to Ablett i would think... If my memory serves me right, this is what happened in the final last year...?

And Hayes or Ball against Bartel will be great to watch! Daniel Cross carved up Bartel a few weeks ago cos he was better at getting the hard ball! Either or our hard nuts can do the job!

I'd like to see Ball go head-to-head with Selwood and CJ to Ablett. Hayes and Bartel to go head-to-head and let Ling take Dal. I think Gilbert is good for Stevie J too.

I would go CJ to Ablett...

and let the rest play.

CJ .... COULD smother Ablett. Needs to stop his cheap handballs.

The thing is, Ablett has taken every tagger in the comp to the cleaners.

I would love to see that match up - reckon the rat could have a field day and swing the game our way!! Would be way to quick and unpredictable for Harley. CJ will go to Gablett in my opinion. But I hope we don't get to obsessed with them - rather focus on our own strengths and let them worry about us.

all looks pretty good to me. i'm salivating at the game. it'll be a great indication of how we are really travelling. cats are a class act all over the ground and our boys will be desperate to show how far they've come this year.

bring it on.

I think your on the money with those match ups lets hope we can hold sway at the stopages & give our forwards some quick supply or at worst limit their ability to control the vital centre clearances .

Frawley on Gary Ablett, always a winning move.

I think ross will give CJ a quarter on Ablett to see what Ablett can do against a CJ tag. If Ablett still gets a bunch of possies he will be moved to any of those mentioned depending on whos hurting us the most.

Baker I wouldnt mind seeing on Varcoe. Varcoe has been hurting teams moving the ball into their forward 50.

Mooney on Dawson, if the game is tight expect some mooney misses.

I think we could well have the game if Dal breaks the Ling tag, we miss his input in these games.

Forwards could try playing deep at some stage, kick it over the Geelong loose man filling the gap that roo leads into. See some Kosi/Roo pack marks. I have questions on the forward delivery that we showed on the weekend standing up against the Geelong defence, loose passes being cut off could rebound to the other end in seconds.

i believe that we should not target roo or kosi as often as we have done this season in the first quarter or so... maybe go for milne and scheider and who ever our other 3 option is.... the reason i say this is to see if we can throw the geelong defence of thier game a bit since they have a few small defenders out...face it if we bomb it long to either roo or kosi they will have players going 2nd and 3rd man up like they always do...

in saying this if they are on a lead honor it just not try and bomb it to them as we have done recently...
