Schneider 3 goals...

Post: # 733363Post saintsRrising »

Schneider was amongst the goals today with 3 today.

He has gotten better and better.....and after having had virtually no pre-season he is now hitting his straps.

However his value is not just he golas as he is a very good team player.

While some were howling for him to be dropped he is proving that he is a reall asset to our team.

He should keep improving as his fitness catches up which will be such a bonus.

Are you gonna be the one?

He is another offensive weapon in what is proving to be an extremely difficult proposition for opposing teams to match up.

Today the bulldogs decide that Milne was the dangerous crumber. They put a lot of effort in stopping him around the goals.

So what happens? Schneider has the pressure released off him and bobs up with a very effective game for us.

SImilarly the hard tags went to Dal and Joey in the midfield - curbing their influence.
But we are no longer such an easy side to 'work out'. If a couple are finding things difficult, others are stepping up in their place.

Opposition coaches eem to have been having a nightmare in trying to negate us because the team is playing with a seemingly new-found confidence in each other.

That to me is the most impressive part of our season so far.

Some on here have been calling for the Schniederman's head, but he has been doing his bit consistently all year.

It was pretty much a reversal in roles for Milney and Schnieder today, Milney did the hard work and Schnieder got the goals.

loved his front and centre gal. classic small forward goal.

not a great game for the forwards as the dogs seemed to zone back alot after quarter time

3 goals, 3 score assists. You couldn't ask for much more from a small forward. He's made very few mistakes all season. Our forward line is so much more dangerous with two quality smalls. Ask Milney what kind of difference it makes having him in there.

Yeah nah pleasing positive

Very good to see him get some cream yesterday as he's been working very hard. Will never get Hayes like possession numbers but seems to be one of our best users of the ball so he makes his touches count.

Those calling for his axing were suffering from a classic case of Premature EJECTulation...not their fault, just the way it is.

Schnieds coasted around for most of the Port match with seemingly no-one on him...even our own team didn't seem to spot him cruising into the forward line alone. He should be kicking 3 goals a game, and I'd suggest it's not always his fault that he doesn't, as he's not always a target.

Great to see him on the board...if he and Milne kick 50 each this year we'll be almost unbeatable!

I think it's more his low centre of gravity - let him grow a mo. and give him a wavy wig - he'd be the image of Leigh Matthews in his prime

He's a smart footballer - will keep getting better. For a small guy he uses his body well when marking.

as long as he keeps kicking goals he's great value.
Although if the goals dry up he could become a liability due to the fact he doesnt get much of the footy.

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

I know how Dal feels.
