Koschitzke - Not a Full Forward, not a Ruckman.

Well, it looks like Koschitzke needs to take on a floating role in the future. As a key forward he is easily beaten by the better defenders in the comp.

It looks like he has a future as a floater (ala Richo), or as a follower without actually contesting the ruck.

He does have talent to burn, and it's just a matter of finding the right role to suit him, i'm even in favour of tailoring a portion of the gameplan around his unique abilities.

Agree 100%. He looked fantastic floating around taking big grabs, both in the defensive and forward halves. Give him the Richo Role!

i thought he looked good in his brief spell in the ruck and at chf.

i agree that he looks a bit lost when asked to play ff. he's not quick enough on the lead.

i'm not adverse to a floating role for him, but who would be the other key forward (given that riewoldt is one).

Gilbert? BJ?

He is to valueable a player to be left at FF which is not his true position. Maybe his place is in the defence.

Kosi is at his best on the move.

FF does not suit him..he does not have the pace to lead well.

So as a key forward he needs to play CHF... with a licence to roam up the ground ...in these roles he is useful with patches of brilliance.

At FF he will struggle.

CHF, FF, Ruck, even CHB.....he will rotate...

He will spend time at FF even though he is not great in that position....he straightens the team up and gives it structure.....he brings Mini, Milne, Schnieds into the game by contesting with 2 defenders...

He will spend some time at CHF when Rooey is resting deep..

He will spend some time in the ruck to get his hands on the footy, and run the opposition ruckman around for 10 mins...

He may be needed at CHB if a huge (but slow) CHF is causing problems and we cannot get a match-up (Tredrea)

the point about him bringing those crumbers into the game is a good one, but he just looks so lost at ff at times and so much more effective moving around.

showed glimpses?!?!? he SINGLE HANDEDLY brought us back into the game in the second quarter. kosi is not going to rack up 30 touches. he is an impact player. i dont know that much more could be asked of his performance last night.

football smarts are lacking? did you notice how many times he centred the ball instead of mucking around with it around the 50. or how many times he kicked long, forward of his team mate to allow the passage of play to flow? he does so many things that go un-noticed, and then gets crucified when he doesn't set the world on fire.

Kosi can really only play as a floating forward and some small time in the ruck. He could never do what Richo does as he hasnt got the engine. If he plays like he did last night for most of the year I think we would all be happy.

It's been pretty obvious, infact glaringly obvious that this is the best - and perhaps only role for Kosi.

When he lined up at FF last night, I again was perplexed as to thinking of the coach.

When he began roaming, and naturally influenced the game, I was very pleased.

Why has it taken 3 years for Lyon to work this out? And secondly, will he do his usual and ifnore the obvious and line him up at FF next week?

On last night, I'd say that King should play as the main ruckman, and Gardiner and Kosi should rotate between the ruck and the forward line.

I am so pleased with Kosi and Gardi's games, just fantastic.

A - Because we have lacked ruck depth.

B - Because no one rates the importance of a dominate backman, over a dominate forward.

Centre Half Back is one of the most underrated position in football today....And the only reason Kos hasn't played there is because the coaches of today share this opinion and feel that good players only need touch the forward line.

It's a fairly big insult stating that Koschitzke isn't played there because he isn't good enough - Thats a fairly pathetic opinion really.

I wish he could play as a forward. More than anything.

But he definitely looked better floating around.

Still undecided about how best to use him. He did some good things up forward and did some good things down back...

I'd rotate him next week depending on how the Crows line up. Could help clog Tippet's space.
